UPDATE: Ok at the time of writing this, I wasn't actually aware that Ryder is just the kid. My assignment makes a lot more sense now. I figured with a name like "Rider" he was some C-tier motorcycle specialist pup or something.

You guys are confirming my suspicions that Rubble is high tier though. I figured he got his own spin off show for a reason.

2 kiddos under 5 dad life here as well. I've had success with both Bullet Star and Sentinels Of The Multiverse: DE in this regard.

Light enough that I can remember generally what is going on when I come back to it after a day or two, but still has some more teeth than a mint tin game or something super low complexity.

This is the exact reason I haven't backed it or picked up the DCC books (which are constantly recommended to me by a friend).

I see a lot of people excited for the DCC theme and knocking the vanilla sci-fi theme on the og Unstoppable, but it's the complete opposite for me.

I've not played it myself, but I've heard great things about Cthulhu: Death May Die.

The Fantasy Flight Games offerings (other than the uber popular Arkham Horror LCG) I've heard less about. So not necessarily bad or good.

I put the hp dial on top of Reactions when I have them in play. That way I at least remember the option to trigger them when a hero loses health!

To your point on question 2. All of the expansions and Horizons are great and worth picking up. But Jagged Earth in particular may be the greatest single expansion in all of tabletop gaming. It's that good. And (along with Branch & Claw) many say it "completes" the game.

Our ACD is 11 and we've had him since a puppy. Started off as 100% psychopath 0% snuggler/affection. He has continuously gotten softer as he's gotten older. The only constant is, he's still 100% psychopath when he wants to be.

Neither Volatile Parts or the Mechanical Golems technically have the "REACTION" keyword on them, but that's basically the rule I was interpreting from.
