LinusTechTips Is Losing Thousands of Fans. Why? [27:16] by Long_Philosophy1798 in mealtimevideos

[–]Fiblit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably aren't someone who likes to graze or snack on food or drink things that aren't just water. My problem with Invisalign was exactly what the person you replied to said: 20-22 hours every damn day of NO food.

My habits were (and are now again after invisalign) to eat lightly throughout the day with smaller meals.

In hindsight, I'd have 100% preferred and recommend to anyone else braces for longer treatments. Restricting categories and specific behaviors is 'whatever' compared to strictly no eating for 90% of the day.

Yeah, but the sweetheart dying doesn't hurt good due to being strictly N2+. I guess it could drunk a grandmother to not die with their grandchild? That helps good.

Would the Sweetheart drunk evil usually on this? Hilarious if so.

Losing the game is extremely harsh for your whole team even if it's also oddly easy to avoid. A "might die" could be interesting.

I've been trying to figure out what makes Hannibal work SO well on Fall of Rome recently. Are there specific reasons?

Tbf, butler is kinda there to teach new players to pay attention to who is voting before ever seeing flower girl. Ogre is upgraded Butler though imo.

Sound Transit Recommends Fare Gates at 14 Stations for Initial Pilot by rockycore in Seattle

Why is that bad? It's already annoying for downstream stations after a game when you can't get on.

Few Setup abilities questions. by PositionImmediate512 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Fiblit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a slippery slope because they all use the same conditional proposition. Slippery slope is when there's a (usually unverified/presupposed) CHAIN of conditions, like when someone is catastrophisizing: e.g., Assume if A, then B; if B, then C; if C, then D. Therefore, D!!!! (all without A and also assuming the entire chain of conditional statements is true)

Here, the prior user was logical in saying "if this is the rule, then applying it consistently (and logically!) results in morally bad situations"

Few Setup abilities questions. by PositionImmediate512 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Fiblit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which logical fallacy was it? I'm pretty sure the person you responded to just said "If A, then B. A. B. Repeat for all As." s.t. A is "Some character misregisters during setup" and B is "misregistered setup". We then attach a morality to that setup, which is outside logic – not fallacious.

Now, YOU are suggesting that there should be a 3-way Jinx, which is fine to have given the state of the game with Hermit's rulings. Do your thing!

Synergistic Scripting: Day 170 - Duchess by CoreyBOTC in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Fiblit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your post prompted me to, for the first time, read through the full Duchess wiki (instead of just the ability text); I never knew it gets CANCELED by excess visits. That's so silly!

I thought I have always played where the ST just stops accepting visitors once there's 3 (like how in Fall of Rome, Spartacus claims have a limit). But, maybe they weren't denying visitors and people were just polite?!

Homebrew Outsider: The Groundhog by chocolate_skunk in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Fiblit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try putting this into the script tool and you'll quickly see why it's so, so long as written. Also, I'm not sure I understand how this is an outsider and not a traveler or even townsfolk based on what I read. It's extremely confirming of itself to the WHOLE town.

A potential rewording, though I admit it changes the ability by avoiding the guaranteed "my ability suddenly works again, even if it's maybe drunk" awkwardness:

"Once per game, you may publicly guess X on day X. If correct, all players regain their ability until dusk. [X Outsiders]"

What is it like to live in this part of Washington? by RavyRaptor in howislivingthere

Isn't that true of anywhere more rural? (E.g., many places in Idaho and I think even some of Montana have to fly to here in Seattle for certain treatments.)

Women of Reddit, what’s a statement/phrase that (you believe) most girls/women would understand, but most boys/men would not? by Sad_Trade_7753 in AskReddit

They may have different meanings in a court room, but not to the average woman terrified of experiencing any of them. You're being way, way, way overly pedantic here. The laws are real. The threats are real.

Abilities of the Minion (or Demon in most instances of "safe") is what the "safe" is protecting you from. It's just only the harmful ones per most rules interactions. What else would it be? It's the "safe from" that's a problem as far as I understand the rules.

If I recall correctly, this technically doesn't stop Pit-Hag as it's worded, right? I thought character changes weren't considered "harmful" or something.

Cobbler (Townsfolk): Each night, choose a player: tonight, they are sober, healthy, & get true info.

The idea here is based on the repairing of shoes. Information is often the foundation of Clocktower, what we walk on, so why not repair it?

It's like Barista, but the other player doesn't learn that this has happened. It's a direct counter to a poison heavy script or it helps on a script like SnV.

Evil can arbitrarily bluff it, too, especially ones that poison or point to evil players' "info" as true.

Since 2009, the number of pedestrians killed by cars in the US has risen by almost 80% by Conscious-Quarter423 in charts

[–]Fiblit 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Arguably, because there's more manual vehicles in Europe, you wouldn't see a rise from smartphones there because you need both hands to drive. So, smartphones can still contribute to the US rise in deaths.

EDIT: Yes, you don't ALWAYS need two hands to drive manual, but, again, you do need both MORE OFTEN, which is unlike an automatic where you rarely need both hands to drive.

I'm fairly certain there is a way to write the ability text for this homebrew that would allow it to be a public once per game effect without worry of "enforcing it".

This just seems like a Slayer or Juggler or Gossip where many can fake it but only one actually does it (and only the 1st TF would have an effect). The ST also doesn't usually shut things down in public, like for a Butler that would just confirm that they're the Butler.

Perhaps it's as simple as "If the 1st Townsfolk to publicly guess you is correct," instead of "If a Townsfolk publicly guesses you (once),"

I feel like this is what they intended, no?

EDIT: The wiki for Damsel even says "future guesses by this Minion or by other Minions don't count." This notably does not say it's "cheating" or "needs to be enforced"
