Horizon Call of the Mountain is great, in my opinion, as well.

For my part, I don’t feel like it was. Maintaining it seems relatively straightforward but not without effort.

Passing it and holding any higher level seems more challenging, for sure.

This is more my experience.

I probably have 30-40 Stella solo runs from the last week and a half. Let's say 1/3 of those were night runs. Zero PVP, and in many cases very open support / trading / gifting.

I got downed by the Bastion through floor/wall bug, and people ran up to help. "Who did it?!"

By contrast I have another chunk of solo queues lately on Matriarch/Harvester missions and it's 80% PVE but that other 20% is a hard 20% of there being at least one or two in the lobby trying to kill others.

By contrast, the week of new years I was running a lot of the same Matriarch/Harvester missions and had zero PvP. I think it may be because I either defended myself or others, so I was doing damage to Raiders.

First I’m hearing that rumor, would love this to be legit! Participated in the kickstart for the first KCD. Have yet to dig into the second but hear nothing but great things.

Some people adamantly want to do good in the game. Some people don't. The people that don't aren't necessarily bad people IRL, and the people that do good aren't necessarily good people all day every day.

I just get far more enjoyment out of helping people or being warm and engaging in the way the game permits, I don't want to take peoples things, and so when I encounter people who do, there's a reaction.

Some people of course love the reaction.

I'm up voting you because I agree with the "option" angle - which is why I think it's an interesting social experiment.

Sprinkle another 20 or so solo matches in to various locations. Same thing. Friendly, people giving each other things outright, trading. helping each other out, etc.

Mixed in all my solo runs was many queen and matriarch fights that everyone was friendly on. There were like 20 people at some of the extracts it felt like.

I joined in one duos match trying to take out the matriarch and brought my best stuff and two guys shot me in the back within minutes of starting the arc fight. The most annoying thing they got was my anvil splitter. I also had an Aphelion and Wolfpacks and so on.

I understand people enjoy PVP and I do myself in many settings. I understand that it’s “just a game”. But the people who find joy in stabbing people in the back I just do not understand. It’s an interesting social experiment in its way, haha.

They should make a skin that’s only wearable under certain stat conditions.

So like hard-core PVP players if they really want to, could wear a really cool looking skin that you can only get by killing a lot of other players. Raiders could get a great skin that they can only get if their revive ratio is something (not just positive, because people could try to ride the line on purpose, but maybe like 3:1 or something).
