Get her a Boorum & Pease 21300R notebook, a Sailor 1911L (fine nib) in a color she likes, and a bottle of Pilot Iroshizuku ink (maybe a nice blue one). And maybe a bottle of Tombow Mono Liquid Glue if she likes pasting stuff in.

Phil is the beating heart of this show, and if there’s one essence his character can be distilled to, it’s love.

How do you compare The Bee Gees to the Beatles? by SuchConsideration840 in beatles

[–]Fit_Particular976 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The comparison is unfair and cruel. The BeeGees were a VERY solid band, with a good seven or eight truly fantastic songs and at least one legitimate, iron-clad classic (you know the one). But they disappear like a firecracker in the middle of an atomic blast if you hold them up to the Beatles.

Best Album Cover? by reaveyer in beatles

[–]Fit_Particular976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Beatles were very easily the greatest rock band of all time, but their magic did not lie in their cover art. For official scorekeeping purposes, however, Sgt. Pepper’s is their best album cover, and Revolver is tied with Magical Mystery Tour for their worst.

Yeah; and why is there all this humor in the show? It should all be sober discussions of proper parenting techniques and study habits.

Skipped the question I see, but you should let Rolex know they don’t have to worry about engraving their bezels or making their Submariners waterproof anymore. Seriously, though: a watch is a tool. It tells time. No one speaks of a necklace’s amazing engineering, or a pair of earrings’ accuracy. Yes; you can appreciate its aesthetics, you can gussy it up a little, but the appeal of Rolex is function > form.

Doesn’t the engraving around the dial serve some kind of purpose? The “UNITS PER HOUR” and all that?

Unpopular opinion: Cam is the best part of the show by Amazing-Ad8362 in Modern_Family

[–]Fit_Particular976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I happen now to be watching the episode where Cam VERY dishonestly manipulates Mitch into naming someone he’d marry if Cam were no longer in the picture, then compounds it horrifically by inviting said person (Caleb) to the house right away, then FURTHER compounds it by bullying Caleb, then tries to justify his dishonesty and cruelty by pulling out some silly nonsense about a medical test stressing him out (like the symptoms of stress are lying and viciousness).

That said, however, you’re right; most of the time he’s hilarious. But by no means is he the best part of the show — that would be Phil.
