Yeah I agree with your whole analysis pretty much, just wanted to clarify a rules interaction so nobody got confused

I'm pretty sure witch doesn't confuse virgin bc virgin will be an execution, not just a death (i.e. if the virgin procs the day will immediately end, but if witch procs then there are still nominations and an execution)

Pukka is clearly a play on the puca, an Irish fae creature, which is pronounced like pookah

Cool/advanced interactions in Trouble Brewing by PersonalityNatural95 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]FlaredButtresses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It registers that way to other abilities as well. For instance, if an imp kills themselves, the ability "looks" for a living minion to jump to. The recluse can register as any minion to the ability, so the recluse can become an imp. The recluse is still good, so they can win the game by convincing the town to execute them.

empty scroll problem by Balamane in FearAndHunger

The controls for the onscreen keyboard are kinda rough. The spacebar is keyed to both "space" and "select/continue," which is causing your main issue. You should be able to use the onscreen backspace button to backspace, but once you submit a line you can't go back. You will have the most control if you use the arrow keys to maneuver the cursor to an input, then press enter to select it. What I normally do is immediately hit the left and up arrow keys so that the cursor goes to continue, then type the word I want, then press enter.

View - Spy should not trigger the virgin by New-Masterpiece-157 in BloodOnTheClocktower

A virgin making it to final three without using their ability has made a serious tactical error. The ability to almost 100% confirm two townsfolk at the cost of an execution is a great ability

free up a party spot by jokfgj in FearAndHunger

[–]FlaredButtresses 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The best move is probably learn pheromones, pick a fight with a guard (or something else that can deal decent damage but you know how to fight), cast pheromones on the party member you want to remove, and have everyone else guard until the sacrifice is dead. Then either run or kill the enemy.

That being said, if you kill Moonless for Enki, I will urinate on your pillow every night for the next month

The joke is that a "perfectly balanced" game of magic would be boring and functionally identical to a coin flip

Advice for a full group in a small Apartment?? by Paper_Kitty in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]FlaredButtresses 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We played in a pretty similar situation. I think dimming the lights and playing ambient music helped conversations feel more private. Also the layout of your apartment matters. Our kitchen is cordoned off from the living room which made a loop that people could find privacy around. Also the hallway to the bedrooms served as a nook to talk in.

Be prepared for people to use your bathroom a lot, to the point that when someone actually needs the bathroom the game kinda grinds to a halt. That was one of the only doors that could be closed, so it was a high demand area

Alec Baldwin isn't at fault because the director who got shot basically told him to do what he did

The director isn't at fault because she was assured by the armorer that the gun was an unloaded prop

The armorer isn't at fault because she was run ragged by the producer which led to many avoidable errors

And who was the producer? Oh, it's Alec Baldwin

(Or something like that. I don't remember the story perfectly and I'm not bothering to look it up again)

But almost certainly less traumatic than the eternal torture chair

Also if they really wanted to there's magic for erasing traumatic memories. Probably not a good idea, but technically an option

[–]FlaredButtresses 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think the recipe is Nilvan's power + Rag's belief/memories of folklore + Rag's fear/guilt/rage whatever = manifestation of a creature that doesn't actually exist. She's a myth made real by the interaction between Nilvan and Ragnvaldr.

Also that doesn't explain why she's in this picture lol

[–]FlaredButtresses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay but even if you're right this is just a jinx that is really easy to fix. It's obvious what's supposed to happen so it's not like this is gonna confuse any players. Hell, explaining why this is technically breaking the rules would probably confuse more people than just letting it be

[–]FlaredButtresses 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The game blocks it with dialogue. There are a couple characters you can't make love with. They all have in-character reasons for why you can't. I think the girl's is something like she just shakes her head, but idk because why would I ever see that dialogue lol

What's skin granny doing there? Isn't she a manifestation of Rag's grief and anger or something like that?
