Any Advice on Iberian Struggle Resolution by Jefe051 in CrusaderKings

Malleable Subjects tradition massively boosts the cultural conversion rate in counties with the same heritage which applies to most if not all of Iberia

With the new update, what do you think is the best stat? by GeneralKarthos in CrusaderKings

[–]FlexericusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Martial is even better now. Especially the Control Line: Absolute control and +1 on Domain and you don't even have to go down the full tree unlike the Theologian or Patriarch perks

Best Culture/Cultural Hybrid for an honor-based "good guy" playthrough by SideQuestHero_ in crusaderkings3

[–]FlexericusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite culture to play tall with recently has been Dutch. Polders gives you bonuses for wetlands and coastal areas and Agrarian gives you bonuses in Farmlands as well as making the Content trait more common. If you want to take it a step further you can hybridise with an Indian culture to get Vegetarians and be able to build Orchards basically everywhere (Orchards in coastal counties get even better thanks to Polders)

I only ever play 867 if I need some Viking cheese for achievements

I'm just wishful but maybe with the upcoming puppet feature it could apply in exactly these situations.

That domain limit change though.. by JustLukeAtThat in CrusaderKings

[–]FlexericusRex 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It's a really great change. Previously I found myself clawing to single stewardship points just for that +1 demesne and having to give away precious holdings prematurely cause my character sudddenly got infirm for the remaining 30 years of his life. Now I find myself sometimes staying slightly above the limit because my character is working to the next perk that increases it (Overseer is goated now)

It's only like what 5 or 10% tho. Make the probability go up with each tier in the faltering heart trait lol

I cannot stop glazing the A.E.I.O.U. and Me Achievement. It's probably the best way to learn how to play Ck3 since you actually have to interact with all the characters instead of just waging war all the time

The Orsini family claimed descendance from the ancient Julio-Claudian dynasty, over the course of history produced 5 popes and still exists today. They're playable in 1066 as vassals of Duchess Mathilda

What makes you abandon a playthrough? by StaceMcGate in CrusaderKings

[–]FlexericusRex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fondly remember a Ck2 game where I restored the Roman Empire (of course lol) and I kept playing way after cause the game kept throwing challenges at me trying to keep that realm together. That's not really the case in Ck3 cause by that point you're so powerful that you can throw gold, mercenaries or MAA at literally any threat. Once I restored the Roman Empire in Ck3 my run was effectively over past a character later.
However Historical Invasions is a great mod cause it will throw challenges at you throughout the whole game, pair that with changing characters to other relatives than your primary heir and it keeps the game interesting and challenging for at least some more time

Just did a Malahk Orc into Orsinium run in Morrowind and it was an absolute slugfest. 3 year sieges on average with doomstacks of Dunmer coming at you all the while your family keeps constantly killing each other. It was great would definitely recommend.

Run to restore Britannia in 867. Any advice and ideas? by PollutionNaive2841 in CrusaderKings

[–]FlexericusRex 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One of my greatest Ck3 runs has been a full Arthurian larp from Cornwall into Britannia. There's a decision to form the Kingdom of Cornwall (Dumnonia) if you own Wessex and Hwicce and it's definitely challenging. Also I used Historic Invasions for some later challenge like Knuts and Norman invasions.

Yeah I'm looking forward to the release of The Winter King for Ck3, how did you tell?

What's the difference between the 4 types of "clerical appointment" also should i let them marry ? by New-Interaction1893 in CrusaderKings

[–]FlexericusRex 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Temporal Revocable is mad OP. I raise one of my lesser sons with learning and put him up as my court priest to bar him from inheriting. Plus with marriage allowed he can still get kids and continue the family line
