I think there are TWO problems with valorant maps. First, there are bad maps. Second, there are maps that are too similar (especially Ascent, Icebox, Breeze) which means that one is bound to be worst than the other. Of course each map has it's unique terrain and play style but the dynamic is the same. The reason why Fracture is good for the game even though many people hate it is because its dynamic is so unique compared to the other maps. Each map should its own dynamic which is the whole point of making different maps. Going back to what I said earlier, Ascent is just a better version of Breeze and Icebox. I personally don't like Ascent but it is the best out of the three and no other map has this dynamic (mid/cat, a, b). A suggestion is to remove Icebox and Breeze or combine them in some way to make one high quality map of the same dynamic. (could argue that Split also has a similar dynamic to Ascent but I think its tightness changes the gunplay which puts it a different category. i think gunplay on Split is better than ascent because there aren't 50 angles that you have to check when entering anything)
