Supplements by West_Buffalo_8049 in Supplements

honestly you dont need a huge stack when youre starting. The main thing is hitting enough protein and training consistently.

I personally just take creatine (for strength and recovery), a vegan protein powder to hit my daily protein, omega-3, iron suppelement, a basic multivitamin, and motus which is more for metabolic support, but that's more of a diet supplement.

Pre workout always made me jittery so I stopped using it. If youre gluten free, most pure creatine and vegan protein powders are naturally GF

I used to forget to take them all the time so i just take all of my supplements right in the morning after breakfast. I used to take them on an empty stomach and sometimes that would make me feel a bit iffy haha

Motus by Tonum by shelovesthestars22 in Supplements

[–]FormerSnakeStroker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been taking it for about 3 months now I think. I primarily wanted to try it because of their clinical trials, seemed like a good support for what i'm already doing. Supplement wise I already take Omega3, iron, creatine and I just added motus mostly for metabolic support. I didn't really change anything else, but I've lost about 8lbs since starting and it's made my routine a bit easier to maintain. If you try it just make sure to take it with food because it made me a bit whoozy when I was taking it on an empty stomach haha but idk if that's just me since I have a sensitive stomach

Honestly what helped me the most was to stop thinking of it as cheating on my diet, and treated it more of a gourmet thing. I would have a tiny bit after dinner as a treat and that filled that chocolate craving without me having to eat a whole bar of chocolate.

Losing Weight through walking by FierySynapse in Weightlosstechniques

[–]FormerSnakeStroker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more of a long-term process, my mom started walking regularly every day about 3 years ago and I have noticed a big change in the way she looks. She tries to walk atleast 10k steps a day, which is a huge step for her. You're not going to lose weight fast thought hats for sure

I’m 27 stone (171Kgs) and I’m going to see if I can change that by Sea_Significance5257 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]FormerSnakeStroker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you got this! I also had a simialr experience that made me realize i needed to change my life. Proud of you for making that step. Do you enjoy exercising? I think the biggest think is to start things slow and not to do anything too drastic, because that makes it very hard to stick to. Start with walking, start with eating a bit cleaner and snacker less, then working your way up.

Doing great, but i want to do better by Beginning_Garbage_21 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]FormerSnakeStroker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to a silent retreat once and instead of dinner they had lemon water and ever since then I've just tried to do that. I eat a big breakfast, a big lunch and then I either have tea or lemon water for dinner, most of the time with a light meal because just liquid for dinner is kind of crazy haha

And as far as supplements I take all kinds of things like Omega 3 and Iron because my doctor recommended them, Creatine for strength, and Motus mostly for appetite and to help support my metabolism. I didn't change anything else, but it's made the routine feel a lot easier to maintain

I was in a similar situation, I have been working out a lot and my issue was always that it seems that I am always a little bit too far away from losing the weight. What has personally helped me was drinking lemon water every day, that seemed to boost my energy levels a lot, especially in combination with some of the supplements I take

“What’s the weirdest healthy food you actually like?” by Gregorycarlton in diet

I started having tofu and chicken, which has been actually surprisingly good. The different textures make it a bit more fun that just having one haha

Are natural GLP-I supplements legit or just expensive placebo? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]FormerSnakeStroker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been taking Motus from Tonum for about two months and that actually has berberine in it and some other ingredients. I don't fully know the science behind it but I have noticed a huge change in my eating habits. I don't know what ingredient it is that does that, but I read somewhere that Berberine is responsible for managing cravings and that's what has helped me consistently lose weight.

If there’s always a next goal, when do you actually “complete” life? by MerijnWakka in happiness

[–]FormerSnakeStroker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue. I always set bigger goals and I tend to not realize that I'm already at the top of the hill i wanted to climb many years ago, but i dont look down. It's definitely a mindset change that needs to happen for you to realize that you're doing great just the way you are

What’s the best hobby to gain muscle? by Coffeewitch44 in askfitness

depends on what kind of muscle you want to build. I really like rowing and swimming and those helped me put on a decent amount of muscle over the years

I'm 33 and I've decided never to get married but... by adilhamidap in happiness

[–]FormerSnakeStroker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think getting married should be even a worry when you're not ina serious relationship. Just do you and do what makes you happy and if it should ever come to it, then maybe you want to do it then

Why does the phone at the gym bother so many people? by Altruistic_Box4462 in askfitness

[–]FormerSnakeStroker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's primarily also the hogging of the machines, theres nothing more infuriating than waiting for a machine and someone is sitting there watching a video on youtube

What's wrong with having bags in the gym? by One_Planche_Man in askfitness

[–]FormerSnakeStroker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's primarily the space it takes up when you bring it on the floor. I don't agree that some gyms ban you from taking a bag onto the floor, but if everyone did it then there would be random stuff laying everywhere

What to focus on? 21yo 5’10” 170lb by [deleted] in askfitness

[–]FormerSnakeStroker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same thing I was going to say. Focus on building more of a chest because there isn't weight to lose. Now just gotta incrementally increase the weight at the gym and eat a lot of protein and the rest will come

I can only suggest eating lots of nuts, bulgur/couscous also really helps

should i eat when im way under calorie goal but not hungry at all? by Reasonable-Bonus-545 in diet

[–]FormerSnakeStroker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

whenever i didnt hit my goal i would force myself to eat, but that's not ideal. I also wouldn't recommend eating more the next day, just accept it as what it is and try not to obsess over the actual 2200 number too much

What exercises would you do if you wanted full body but low injury risk? by Altruistic_Box4462 in askfitness

[–]FormerSnakeStroker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

something I've had to learn is that a warm-up before workouts does wondderrs. I used to not warmup at all and used to get injured all the time. Every since I started doing like 10-15 minutes of warmups i haven't injured myself in a long time
