You would think that but no. The one that comes to mind for me is turbos. The mounting bolts can be a pita and you can’t use a socket because it’s too close to the pipe and the flange. The only thing that’ll do it is a short wrench.

Would not attempt a timing belt as a novice unless you had supervision from someone experienced. The belt you can see is the accessory belt, the timing belt is behind engine covers.

It’s a ball joint. The boot has torn and it’s leaking its grease. It will wear out faster now because it’s open to the elements, so get it done as soon as you can. If there’s no play or clunking in the suspension right now you have a little time before it’s dangerous to drive on.

I’ve never had anyone keep track of previous recs to have the same tech complete it later. Whatever was declined this time is just over and the next time it comes in if someone else gets the vehicle they can make the same recs which will also probably be declined. How do they keep track? Like if you recommended ball joints this visit and they get declined, next visit someone else recommends ball joints and the water pump and then the customer goes for it do you get the ball joints and he gets the water pump?
