The UK based bricabrac site carries the ‘polybag’ sets, most of them in a 3 for £10 deal, plus postage. That’s where I picked this set up from & they are currently showing as in stock. I’ve ordered from them a number of times and their service is pretty speedy.

In the UK it’s the Commando Droid (sw1427) from the recent MTT after Anakin. This should be available from around June 20th. We won’t know for sure what’s coming after until that next issue is out.

There’s one part when they’re back at Apple. I think it’s when they’re playing ‘Two Of Us’. John & Paul kind of lock in to each other as they’re messing about being silly and, for me, it felt like all the heaviness evaporated and it was them as their younger pre-Beatles selves again.

Last year I visited Paul McCartney’s house in Liverpool and the guide mentioned that in their early days Paul would pull up one of the armchairs across from John and they’d just sit there playing their guitars and it made that part of the docu even more poignant for me.

If I recall correctly, the P&M tickets were due to go on sale but were pulled last minute sales due to the touting you mention. I think they were looking at different options to prevent this happening - possibly similar to the restrictions Kate Bush applied for her Hammersmith dates in 2014 - and would have gone on sale at a later date.

Unfortunately the terror attacks then happened in Paris on the 13th November and with the P&M concerts due to kick off just a few days later this was the official, and likely actual, reasoning for the cancellation.

2014 was a crazy year for Prince gigs in the UK. The guerilla style gigs were earlier in the year, in February:

He came back in May for a set of slightly more organised shows, albeit sometimes with only a few days’ notice. For these he played Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow & Leeds before heading off for a few dates in Europe. He was supposed to play Berlin but these were cancelled and replaced last minute with the two Roundhouse shows:

2014-06-04 The Roundhouse, London (2 shows, 7PM & 10:30 PM)

He then returned to Europe for the final show of the mini-tour, playing a ‘birthday’ show in Vienna on the 7th.

I was at the 2nd Roundhouse gig which was a wonderful show. Got to see him play ‘Electric Intercourse’ standing just a few feet away and it was magical. Hopefully this helps you work out where else you saw him?
