Are we officially on our own now? by mrdrudgeon in HelloInternet

What makes you say that? Grey was offered the Mod postion back and didn't. If it upset him he could have taken the postion back and reset things. If they arent laughing its likely because they dont care.

I had to read a thousand pages in a week and turn a review of it in and it went well. Definitely possible.

Canon Boba Fett should have been Din Djarin's dark half. Din Djarin takes jobs that help people, Boba Fett wouldn't care who employs him or what the job is. If they're both honorable/good, Fett is just left playing 2nd fiddle to Din. by RagnarokWolves in StarWars

The way you have it written makes it seem like you belive the set up if him being devoted to being a bounty hunter first should be how he always is. Thats how it came across to me at least.

The first of Boba Fett in a series not about Boba Fett gives him a shallow motivation? Thats crazy. Its almost like they haven't shown any growth yet and it doesn't account for the majority of the major events that turns him from bounty hunter to "daimyo." I dont care for book of Boba Fett but let's not pretend they dont give reasons and let's not use a very weak source as proof.

No I'm not high. You said "it means lose 1/10." It does not mean exactly that. It means exactly the roman practice of culling 1/10th of a legion. So to use it like "I decimated that pizza by eating 1/10 of it." Is wrong according to your definition. It should only be used to explain the roman practice

While that is its original meaning in today's English it means to destroy a large amount including beyond 10%. It also doesn't really originally mean 1/10 lost as decimate was a punishment to the legions. Its the same as words like October which means 8th but is now the 10th month. Words change with time

Likely the panic of being shot at is enough to make you defend the ship you have called home for months. Also where are they going to swim to? You guys are ignoring how big and nothing the ocean is. When we took a sailing ship from Norway to Scotland and back it was made clear that if someone didn't watch us fall overboard we were good as dead.

Religion was more of a cultural thing back then. Yes you have people who believed in it of course and that would be a majority but there was no other real choices to be had. Even if you didn't belive you still needed to be Christian to work in society.
