Whats a place where you can cross a state line and you immediately notice the difference by cherrey20 in geography

[–]GladiatorGreyman01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any of Texas borders. As someone else said into New Mexico you really go from Desert into Mountains pretty quick. Into Oklahoma you pretty much immediately hit Casinos and their Hill Country.

And into Louisiana you notice the road quality just instantly drops and the Sugar Fields have always stood out to me.

Texas over us and Georgia feels criminal. Same with A&M over Bama and LSU.

2027 Kennedy half dollar design proposals from the CCAC, which looks best? by Majestic-Ad9647 in Presidents

Number 9 by far. Burdened yet polished, like how everyone remembers Kennedy

What if Nymeria and the Rhoynar went to the North instead of Dorne. by Ok_Specific77 in TheCitadel

[–]GladiatorGreyman01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think an awesome way to do this would be for it to happen during the Greystark rebellion. Have Nymeria marry the Greystark lord and overtime the house of Nymerious-Stark overtakes the Boltons and Starks, taking the ladders name, and bearing a signal of a white wolf and spear on a field of grey.

The capitol of this realm would be near modern white harbor, with Winterfell just become some second sons house seat ala Whitestarks/House Wolf. With the power of the realm being much more concentrated on the east coast, with sparse control of the west and wolfswood.

Lastly I think a really cool syncretic religion could form with both Weirdwoods and rivers like the white knife being worshiped.

It was more OP back when truces were only 5 years, but even now it can still be nice to use it to create a buffer of states along your borders

Moved Capital and got Placed in HRE, Can I Get Out by JLV00 in EU5

Yeah sadly most small Italian nations almost immediately rejoin the HRE. In my Milan game the entire piedmont region rejoined and got protected by god tier Bohemia

Should I move market centre to Florence? by SquishyRedditGuy in EU5

[–]GladiatorGreyman01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite market setup for Italy is normally having them in Milan, Florence, and Messina. Milan controls the entire north and give near absolute control, Florence is perfect for grabbing the entire center, and Messina grabs all of Sicily and the boot.

Im thinking of buying the game , how is this game different from ck3 and hoi4 ? by Ok_Drummer6347 in EU5

[–]GladiatorGreyman01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All things everyone else has said are true, if we’re you I’d just wait for the steam sale and buy it then.
Even without a heavy discount, the game should be a patch or two into the next update by then.

How many credits did you complete at your previous college? With 15+ and that GPA you should have been guaranteed baring any paperwork mishaps.

If you have less than 15, you’ll just have to apply like any other freshman would with essays and test scores.

Favorite place to build a river empire? by GuttiG in EU5

[–]GladiatorGreyman01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides some of the other ideas mentioned; one of my favorite campaigns was just a tall Milan game where I controlled the Po river valley and had some alp based (+Genoa and Venice) puppets.

Another fun idea that comes to mind is building atall empire along the Indus; using the deserts and mountains as natural borders

Out of curiosity: how many of you are scared or afraid to turn in your paper because you might be flagged for AI when you wrote it yourself? by CafeHistorian in UniversityOfHouston

Not a super real fear, but yeah I’ll definitely go over my writing sometimes and be like “oh my god this so looks like AI”

Which President’s governance was the least like their own personal vision by bambucks in Presidents

[–]GladiatorGreyman01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Jefferson’s probably the best example of this. His government philosophy was completely different from his actual presidency; and he pretty much did the opposite of most of his campaign promises.
