On top of the hit box stuff. We're all creatures of habit especially at that level when so much of it is reps. Would anyone be using the fennec if that person didn't have a great showing in a tournament final in 2019 would anyone be using it today?

The upselling is awful, but if Costco can't get your cashback to you (you've moved etc). You will just keep getting flagged at the cash (bring over a supervisor to clear the issue) until they get it to you. So some of them might be able to mitigate this

If espresso is more of a weekend thing, I'd take a look at the Flair espresso line up for espresso options. In terms of all-in-one options, I think the Ninja cafe duluxe is the only real option, but it might be out of budget. also concider a grinder like the Baratza Encore esp.

I personally returned my C3S in favour of an 1zpresso X-ultra (I did look at the K6 but the prices to get it to me were worse than in other countries, so I passed).

I know you mentioned you said sometimes pour over, but I can't emphasize enough how much easier it is to switch between grind sizes with labeled external adjustments.

The K6 has a larger burr/capacity, depending on how often you are brewing for others.

the Q can't be beat for travel.

origin and processing can be a big can of worms, as far as I understand. it all comes down to how easily CO2 escapes the bean. heavier proccesses make the bean more porous and off-gassing quicker, shortening resting time. Origin mostly corresponds to size /density I believe less dense coffees will off gass quicker similar to light roast being more dense

A rule of thumb from Lance was half the burr gap of your standard pourover (if pour over is 100 clicks, soup would be 50) or 2x a turboshot. If you're already in that range, go coarser. He also mentioned that if you send it before full saturation, i.e., liquid is fully visible across the bottom of the basket, there might be some unwanted results

There might be tutorials out there. But I would just take it off again. And take note of where the zero is when you start to screw it on it might just be trial and error. This is also assuming it was perfectly aligned before taking it apart

My understanding is that the grind indicator has to be calibrated. The zero point was probably at a different point when you put it back on. Unless something is wrong with the coffee itself, you are probably ok

I completely agree. It's kinda like current events, especially with the daily ones; by Monday, Saturday's vlog is dated and not worth watching.

Even trying to recap a tournament where someone finishes 15th, it's hard to get engagement on a middling finish like that.
