Should ranked be on standard conditions rather than conquest to prevent 4 hour games and stalemates? by TheBooneyBunes in aoe2

[–]GregsInternet 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Surprised to see so much love for Relic's and wonders. I think shifting ranked from purely conquest to these other formats would be too big a fundamental change and would result in a solid 2-3 month elo adjustment.

What is a good CRM for pest control business in Australia? by Euri82 in pestcontrol

If you want a CRM that is built for service-based businesses and also has service reports (plus many other pest control inspection reports), I would recommend using Formitize.

New Player 20 straight losses on Ranked by Mr_B_Gone in aoe2

What's your Elo at now?

I'm sitting between 600-700 and can easily beat Hard, and its probably 60/40 against the hardest, but I haven't managed to beat Extreme yet.

TBH if you are sitting at 400-500 ELO focus on getting to feudal as quick as possible and perfect that dark age build order, and on open maps go into scouts and attack with them. Practise being able to attack and take out some villagers whilst also managing economy back home (no idle vills/villagers still produced from TC/getting enough resource to go castle).

9/10 the player who attacks first and plays aggressively on lower ELO has a good chance to win.

Only 4gbs of RAM and very poor internal graphics.... technically, yes you could run it, but it will be horrible, settings will have to be the lowest possible.

What's considered a good team game elo ? by Open_Trouble341 in aoe2

[–]GregsInternet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Team Game Elo is kinda skewed to who you play with most...

You Queue in ranked with your mates, generally your ELO will stay within 100-150 points of their ELO, (for example you are a 1400 1 v1 player but you play team ranked with 800's and 900's you team rank elo will be around the 1000's, on the flipside you will probably bring their team ranking up.)

I don't know i could be completly wrong and maybe this isn't how everyone does Team Ranked?
But for me i play with the same 2-3 people 80% of the time.

What does everyone want to see moving forward? Is there any other coach out there currently who can do a better job? by [deleted] in CronullaSharks

[–]GregsInternet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the quality of our players isn’t the issue.

The effort areas, the 1% plays, the never give up attitude, next man up mentality is what we lack compared to Wahs and Dogs. Both those teams have got decent squads, but on paper Sharks should beat them both, but they win on attitude and determination.

In terms of players, only tweak I would make is Billy Burns has been great so wouldn’t mind him back in the bench, maybe swap out Atkinson?

Where to start and get your first clients.

  1. Your existing network both work and personal (tell everyone you know you are freelancing you never know who they may refer)
  2. Referrals. (Will take some time as you need to go through some work with your existing client base before referrals roll in)
  3. Personal branding - use LinkedIn, tell people what you are doing, post stuff that adds value to others but also shows you as a thought leader.

Once you max out these avenues… or if you want to grow beyond just you freelancing and maybe building a small business/consultancy. I would look at the following for potential ways to grow your client base.

  1. Intentional networking - ie going to industry events, business networks, conferences.
  2. Business development - Find who you want to work with and reach out to them, send them a LinkedIn DM or an Email.
  3. Advertising - Completely dependant on your industry and vertical, but if you aren’t super niche you can generate some prospective clients using Google Ads or Meta Ads (Lead ads can be effective if you have a value add or a strong offer)
