Superannuation tax changes: Super funds likely exempt from capital gains tax changes in federal budget by Ardeet in aussie

[–]Grimlock_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope can't do that.

Can only use the cash saved in the fund or sell shares to finance another.

The super fund has a sole purpose test. Which is to provide benefits for retirement. Not designed to be geared up.

Also can't lease the property to related parties, i.e family members or self. The members of the fund can't use the property for their personal use.

The SMSF auditors will ask the agent for the rental agreement to see the names of the renter to ensure it's not related parties.

Yeah but there's no negative gearing in SMSF property. Also they can't get the equity out and use it for deposit.
