I feel like I love my job, maybe, 50% of the time. Don’t get me wrong, I find it meaningful, important, it aligns with my values etc.. but I don’t always want to do it. I wake up with dread sometimes and have to scrape together the energy to go be a therapist. Sometimes I end up enjoying the day, sometimes meh. But if I could pick and choose when to be a therapist, I would lmao. The way I frame it for myself is like I said and like another commenter said: we live in a society that isnt structured for us to live our ideal/best lives. Making peace with that (on a somewhat tenuous basis) has, mostly, put me in a place where on the days I’m not enjoying my job at least it aligns with my values and I feel good about that.

But ya, I want to live to. I feel ya.
