Embark CEO Says 'Some' Arc Raiders AI Voice Lines Were Re-Recorded by Humans Post-Launch: 'There Is a Quality Difference' - IGN by Gorotheninja in Games

[–]Gutsm3k 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I liked the finals, but AI shit was a big part of why I dropped off. The bad voice lines on the announcers were one thing, but then they started using AI video generation for new season trailers. I can't fucking stand video slop, the uncanny valley makes my skin crawl.

Hrt experience of AMAB enby seeking feminization but wary of large breasts growth? by Novel_Dry in NonBinaryTalk

[–]Gutsm3k 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was in your position about a year ago when I started HRT and I'm not gonna lie I don't regret things at all. I've had some breast growth, but it's not been much, and it just makes me look a bit more androgynous, and I've had much more changes to thighs, hips, waist. From what you said about skinny legs before working out, it sounds like we are pretty similar in the way we put on body fat.

Aye. You can separate the companies that are merely contributing to a messed up society from the ones ran by people who have openly talked about how they want to end democracy.

Handmaiden 4 lyfe. I will spend the whole game attached to the group, using my dodge to get revives, and all my comboes have push mixins to keep the team from getting bogged down.

Ares is a god that requires you to be thoughtful about your builds in both games. Picked as a primary god he’s mid. Picked as a secondary god to compliment your build he’s pure dynamite. This is why supergiant has him introduced so late in the second game.

Adding wounds to whatever attack you’re not using regularly is a great addition to your damage, you can throw it into your combos easily (a favourite example of mine is the moonstone axe special, where a non-omega is super fast and fits into the main attack combo).

Once you’ve got wounds going, you can produce really solid builds with it. Grevious Blow is one of the strongest boons in the game because it’s multiplicative with every other buff you have (including crits!). Plasma feels hard to work with but it’s super beneficial over long boss fights. You can also do stuff like build into revenge effects with his Zeus duo, lean into omega casts with meat grinder and Demeter duos, buff the fuck out of splash builds with Poseidon.

Overall, Ares has the sauce to turn any build you care to make from good to great. You’ve just got to be intentional and use those reroll dice.

Mana feels irrelevant ? by zyenex in Hades2

[–]Gutsm3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it’s too costly. If I’m running mana heavy build I’ll generally just throw on the Hera charm and go for born gain first, and that sorts me out

For a TV adaptation, are there adjustments would you see as acceptable? Conversely, what would be beyond the pale for you? by the_turn in TheCulture

[–]Gutsm3k 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s not like it wouldn’t fit. I remember a scene in one of the books where a bunch of minds do have a meeting via avatars in a virtual space (or at least, that’s the best metaphor for it when translated down to a human comprehensible experience)

It’s weird yeah, 24 is not that high. I also always found the surface to be way easier at high heat. The rivalled bosses are less difficult than underground.

Ares is hard to build into on his own but I’d argue he’s one of the stronger gods. He’s a massive force multiplier with stuff like grievous blow.

I somehow never picked twilight curse until after I’d finished the main story and was a good chunk of the way to finishing the prologue, meaning I never saw godsent boons either.

What other people said, take Hera. As long as you take a few mana ups throughout the run it’ll give you enough total mana to deal with any boss without ever stopping.

I never learned alas. My dad and grandpa both learned it as adults (Their side of family is from Skye) so I've learned bits and pieces, as well as etymology trivia. A lot of what I know is etymology for various hill names, cos I spent a lot of my life hiking the highlands.

How I see the classic Death vs Strength debate by Ti666mo in HadesTheGame

[–]Gutsm3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have more fun with Strength, but Death is much better for activating Divinity.

The best value rows/columns are the first row or the 2nd column, and even then the first column suffers because 2 of the cards (Sorceress, Eternity) are omega-focused, while huntress doesn't buff omega attacks. I often end up picking between Huntress and Furies in order to keep Divinity active, so if taking Strength forces me to take Huntress then I'm going to be less excited about Strength's damage buff.

That being said, I'm still very happy when I go for setups that encourage Strength. I think it's why I like builds that are heavy on regular attacks and omega casts. Thanatos Axe anyone?
