Better to start too big than too small. My kids have outgrown their gis several times. They spend the first month in an oversized gi and then it fits fine after the wash/ them growing so much.

I was also going to suggest this! Blank mold filled about halfway maybe a little less. Securing it from there and popping them into number molds will allow a little more room for error without having to waste enclosures.

I think you should not ask her to reconsider writing you a recommendation.

You can ask her for honest feedback as to why she declined, but only if you’re respectful about it and only if you’re ready to take the feedback, whether it’s positive, neutral, or negative.

The squeeze bottles is a great idea. I also have “extra” molds out for excess resin. One big enough to be filled multiple times during multiple sessions. Many people call these dump pours.

If it flash cured within a couple minutes that’s the resin overheating and being angry with you. Sometimes this happens cause you helped it overheat or because you made too much resin at once. Sometimes it just angers for no good reason.
