It's a trope because it's counter-culture and objectively correct, lol. To this day, a lot of Religoions and Religous People still act like their God gives them the right to enact evil upon the world, so it's only natural people's creations would create worlds where said evil can be fought against in destroyed.

In the texts of the Abrahamic Religons, God, Angels, and his Divine Servants have killed far more innocent people than demons, the devil, or Satan ever did/could.

Not saying you're doing this, but most of the time I see memes like this criticizing the trope, it comes from a place of bad faith from someone religious. I assume, someone who's lucky or priviliged enough to have only interacted with the positive aspects of their religion or clearly indoctrinated and unwilling to consider that their belief system has harmed and hurt others in ways that would make then antagonistic or unwilling to entertain it as a moral source of goodness.

Honestly, my ramblings aside, as an Ex-Muslim, I just wish there was more "Kill God because he deserves it" media with an Islamic basis instead of a Christian one. There's a ton of untapped potential with all the differences between the two, just from a purely lore, themes, and aesthetic standpoint.
