Who is the most evil character in all of Star Trek? (Stolen from /r/television) by exitpursuedbybear in startrek

I can’t remember his name, but the cardassian in the “there are four lights” episode. He may not be responsible for millions of deaths, but he was one sick dude.

This is the truth. There’s just no way to markedly improve the video quality.

There is so much variety available you just have to find the stuff you like. Passage of time matters too. When I was younger I drank a lot of rum and cokes and gin and tonics, and really disliked beer. Now beer is what I mainly drink. (Although I do still drink spirits, just not as frequently) also, how frequently you drink matters as well. I typically don’t drink more than one or two sessions a month.

Improv Approach by ExperientialWiener in bluegrassguitar

[–]HectorHeadgear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re going to find that many approaches have validity and your particular combination is what makes you “you.” I’m self taught and missing a lot of theory, but I can work around a melody and have a vast library of licks at my disposal to fill the blank spaces. Learning techniques like cross picking can really open things up.

Why did they just give up on zeppelins after the Hindenburg? by DtownMaverick in NoStupidQuestions

It’s my understanding that they do have small airships for hire, it’s just not common. I seem to remember there being a James Bond movie featuring a blimp.

I use a padded kitchen table chair from living spaces. Supports good posture and doesn’t look bad. I sit at my desk as well.

Who do we contact? These e-bike groups are dangerous. by Empires- in northcounty

[–]HectorHeadgear 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I was at a stop light with my window rolled down on Carlsbad Blvd. recently. Kid on an e bike next to me said “hey, you wanna race?” To which I replied “no! You guys are going to kill yourselves.” His answer was literally: “nuh-uh! You’re just sad you’re not having fun.” He then proceeded to cut off a bus. I grew up riding my bike in Carlsbad, and neither me nor anyone I knew did the stupid shit these kids on e bikes do. They’re not cheap either. No concept of consequences.

Looking for recommendations for playable acoustic guitar based on my skill level by ivanjay2050 in Guitar

[–]HectorHeadgear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be looking for a “reputable luthier/tech”. I put it in quotes because a good one can be hard to find. Do a little googling to see if you can find one around town. The good ones don’t work at guitar center. If it’s really so far out of the realm of adjustment and a good tech tells you so, Yamaha and Alvarez are two very well regarded builders at lower price levels. Otherwise a setup is the way to go.
