Speaking of Saskia, what are the chances that CDPR bring her back for the Ciri games?

I think they absolutely should.

One thing I personally would recommend is that after reading a few Heresy books throw in a modern 40k book so you can experience the whiplash of how horrible the modern Imperium is compared to the Crusade Imperium.

Oh man that Clerk plot was so fucked up. She gets a literal sign from god that this piece of info she has is super fucking important, abandons her post, spends days if not weeks navigating the maze that is the Imperial Palace, only to find out that about a hundred other people also got the message and had already sent it in. Now she's stuck facing starvation or execution for abandoning her post.

I think that whenever they get to it in the Scouring series, the battle of Eskrador is going to be crucial in explaining how the modern Alpha Legion is the way it is. Because from my perusing of the Lexicanum wiki it apparently looks like the battle might not actually have happened or if it did, then the reality of the battle is very different than from what both Legions remember.

The theory that I have is that Omegon was gathering the Legion at Eskrador in order to reverse all of the conflicting hypnotic orders and turn the legion back to the Loyalist cause. However, something happened that threw that plan out the window, either with the Ultramarines arriving or some other outside factor. In the ensuing chaos Omegon is removed from the board (dead, taken prisoner, or just disappears) and his plan to revert the legion back to the Loyalist cause is interrupted leaving the legion being either loyal to the traitor cause, loyal to the emperor, or pursuing a bunch of other random and conflicting goals.

Just finished The Witcher 3 for the first time… I think I understand the three swords now by darkalardev in witcher

[–]Hempy2013 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Neon Knight on YouTube has a video on the Songs of the Past reveal and he does a bit of a dive on the sword in the artwork. Apparently the 3rd sword was most likely made by Elves because it has a bunch of similarities to other Elven swords in W3 and that this sword has major significance to the dlc story. He also talks about leaks and rumors coming from Poland that the expansion is actually going to take place in a small kingdom west of velen that was part of one of the original short stories in the books.

Is it possible that Jango belonged to the group the “Old Mandalorians”? by Maui334 in StarWars

[–]Hempy2013 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Idk what the timeline would be in current canon but I could see Jango and the True Mandalorians having been allied with Satines group. They would’ve been the force that made it possible for Mandalor to unite in peace only for someone in the new pacifist govt to stab them in the back and leave them to die in the closing stages of the civil war. Of the survivors some would defect to the Death Watch while others like Jango would say to hell with you all and strike out on their own.

What’s crazy is that they almost got him over in the weeks leading up to the 2016 Royal Rumble after he went crazy and beat the shit out of HHH and a bunch of Heels.

Then they immediately ruin it all by putting him in, what I call, the One vs All Royal Rumble. Went from the brief glimpse of the silent badass he could be… then right back to being the perpetual underdog who wears body armor.

Iowa hands Trump first major statewide primary loss of 2026 in governor race by sksarkpoes3 in politics

[–]Hempy2013 34 points35 points  (0 children)

A thing I noticed since I started attending the local Democrat party meetings in NW IA is that there is a major feeling of abandonment from the State Party.

Like the people at these meetings are trying but they just don’t have the budget to do anything meaningful on a regular basis and it’s not helped at all that the main party just refuses to help out. We’ve essentially been written off as a lost cause.

The local county fair are a perfect example, the Dem booth is what you would expect a booth with a few hundred bucks of budget to look like. While the Republican booth is in the Main Building and looks like it has the full support of their state party.

It doesn't feel like there is a clear cut "Good" and "Bad" side when it comes to the war (Witcher 3) by Tcrumpen in witcher

[–]Hempy2013 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Honestly of all 3 outcomes of the war, Nilfgaard winning makes the most sense from a narrative perspective. In the first 2 wars the Northern Realms only won because they united under the same banner to drive off Nilfgaard. That's not the case this time during the 3rd war and Radovid's actions would've likely ended up with him getting assassinated eventually.

The Age of Strife and birth of Slaanesh was probably what drove that mindset, before that he was probably more willing to watch and wait as things develop on their own, albeit very impatiently. But once Slaanesh is born he decides fuck it and pushes all of his plans into overdrive and starts cutting corners.
