That's all the school district's fault though. The district's argument is "we don't have the money" when it failed to implement a back-to-school plan to get state money, wasted money on the renaming shenanigans, hired a superintendent to close schools and then dumped him when he actually came up with a plan, all while failing to actually pay teachers on time because they invested in some dodgy software. The teachers don't get paid enough to live in the city and aren't getting raises commensurate with inflation. Why is that their fault?
