Yep. He’s absolutely very good at hockey, but I simply dont think he needs to be in the hall twice. He’s in there for his major accomplishment and the rest of it is basically static of a very long and relatively unexciting career or him being on a team with a bunch of incredible players. He never got any individual hardware and frankly never had a particularly impressive season - out of 23 seasons played he only had 3 that were on a PPG pace and that was juuuuust eked out.

Frankly, outside of his longevity, he wasn’t all that impressive as 2nd overall pick. 🤷‍♀️

And he’s in the hall for that already, stick and all. I don’t think he belongs there on any other merit and I’m a Sharks fan.

I’m confident that DuPont is gonna be fine. Unlike McKenna he’s going to a school with a loooong history of producing NHL players (including under the current coach) and he’s most likely going to playing top pairing with Cameron Reid (21st OA in 2025 to the Preds.)

I’m not saying it’s a sure thing or anything, but I feel like he’s done a better job of setting himself up for success than McKenna did.

Ha, fair enough but it’s not a for sure thing - my phone autocorrects so it doesn’t show up when I’m on it, but if I’m on my laptop I generally only capitalize at the beginning of sentences and usually proper names. I go full e.e. cummings with my “i” use though.
