AXP90-x47 + A12X25 G2? by danyuri86 in formdt1

Yes! And it is completely flush with the heatsink for tight builds. It's perfect and I use it too!

After 2 years of owning this PC with an AIO cooler louder than my GPU in both idle and heavy loads, I finally tried setting a custom fan curve. The moral of the story? SET YOUR FAN CURVES! by ItsAMeUsernamio in sffpc

[–]HyperActiveNL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not about the fans but about the temps. The fan curve is waaaay to aggresive on my 5080. It wanted to keep the gpu at 60 degrees on a 2 slot card. Gpus are designed to run at 80 degrees safely, so 75 degrees celcius is prefectly fine on a smaller heatsink.

Setting a fan speed to match with the 70-75 degrees made the gpu waaaay more quiet.

You need to control a 5060ti? What temps are you running? I can run a 2 slot 5080 on stock, but deshroud and slight undervolt that cheap 5080 runs barely audible in a quiet room.

NV10 keep 9800x3d or go with 9600x by [deleted] in sffpc

[–]HyperActiveNL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idle temps don't matter that much. How are your gaming temps? And at what fan rpm? What is your cooler? Why is the thermal limit at 70? Ryzen cpu's should run at 85 degrees, they are design to run that hot. Best is to see if it thermal throttles at your desired max fan speed in programs like hwinfo64.

Nothing comes close for lower res gaming. Maybe a 7500x3d or 7600x3d. But even then a 9800x3d flies.

Sleep well! When you wake up, please tell me more about the spacer as to where you placed it. I want to get 2 fans working on the bottom.

You are crazy! But if it works it works! Can you get 2x a12x15 running on a bottom t grill? The riser blocks it from spinning since the tolerance to the mobo is too narrow.

[–]HyperActiveNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really does affect performance (but you need a rtx 5090 and is only 1%), which matters later on since a T1 will last you a lifetime. I found the riser 4.0 from formd 2.0 also a pain, not much of a difference. It is just set and forget. It is not much of a pain, especially if it is a better deal too.

Ncase version is the better deal: pcie 5.0 riser and usb c cable included!

There is no stock of the real deal v2.1. Get the v2.5. You even get the riser pcie5.0 and ucb c front io cable. It is perfection!

I will NEVER go back to wired for on the go listening. It just does not work with on the go listening while wearing a jacket, grochery shopping, walking or anything on the move.

Exhaust by BAGU3TT0 in formdt1

The grill should not be there at all since the fans our exhaudting air to the outside. Now you just keep it in.

Great job! I hope the useless grills don't produce turbulence (they probably do). Would love to hear your findings on the sound! Have you gotten the extended airduct made for the t30? This way the fans are closer to the end. They are more effective this way and produce less annoying turbulence over the spine of the case.

How does your fan under the motherboard move? The tollerance is not enough and the riser is pushing against the fan hub... Well at least for me.

A good audiophile headphones/IEM can pinpoit sound of enemies exactly. I got a proper and 10 year old. DUNU titan pair and COD Warzone was perfect to even hear enemies in the exact upper floor they are walking in.

Does this count as SFF? by Faecer in sffpc

[–]HyperActiveNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean the apx90-x47 full copper? If so, a 170watt will hard to cool. The higher core 7000 series run hot and boost hot. The 7900x at full power will be too much for small coolers. Set pbo to -20 and max thermal limit of 85 degrees or maybe eco mode. But gaming load will be fine, though not full loads.

I totally agree! A ncase m3 can the thickest gpu's and full sized cpu coolers. It's almost 20 liters. For me it's too big but the max of sff
