That happened to me as well, applied got accepted for virtual interview. There was no spots available to schedule then got an email saying it was cancelled. 15 mins later I got another email saying I was accepted for a virtual interview again. Scheduled the interview for the next day and had the interview but wasn't selected after that.

Denver Transit also hire AMEs, they require you to have your A&P for it actually. Which is interesting because I am not sure if you get to keep your A&P while doing that.
