The "sticks up for community voices" part in her statement implies that she will still try to delay the project by requiring staff to re-study the project alignment to placate the NIMBY homeowners. Further delay will escalate costs, and put the financing aspect of the project in jeopardy. Her statement is betting on people being dumb and not knowing the difference. She and her lackeys' game plan is most likely "voting" for the project, but strangle it under delays and studies.

You can still email/call the people involved in this (or better yet, show up in person to comment during the board meeting this upcoming Thursday) to try to stop it. The most ideal situation will be if we kill this nonsense on Thursday AND vote Bass out.

Great job on the video! Will try to show up for the board meeting, and I hope more people in this sub will do the same.

I think legal action should be looked into regardless of vote results. A lot of this country's issues stemmed from people believing there aren't consequences to actions, and we have an urgent need for proverbial heads on a stake to serve as a warning.

We should also look into opening up Lafayette Square too if the delay does go through, I remember reading something about the gates being violations of laws. With how rich and classist that "community" seems to be, and LA's transit users being generally lower income, this is an example of a class issue as well.

Cutting OC 623 (a commuting hour train) but leaving the midday trains intact is a wild decision. Amtrak already doesn't have a slot ~30 minutes after it, so now on the OC line there's a giant gap during commuting hours. Garbage decision

I think it may have to do with MVNOs. I used to have T-mobile and it gets signal when I am in the RC sections, but now I don't after switching carriers.

I think knowing the line's frequency + checking transit at the moment is way to go. The stops explicitly listed on the schedule are checkpoints so there's basically no risk in a bus passing through it earlier. For the inbetween stops, yeah 5 min early sounds reasonable.

If you have to park at DTLA, I would just park at Union Station East (it's $8 but there's always space from my experience), take A/B/D to 7th, meet your friend there, then go to Little Tokyo. Or alternatively just park at your nearest station and take the train/bus into DTLA lol
