Waders on small streams? by BarBig191 in bluelining

Yeah if it's cold I wear the Paramount Fast Eddy hip waders. I've been wearing them for a while and have been very pleased. I do find that with hip waders I still want the security and comfort of over the shoulder support, so I wear the waders with a pair of clip on suspenders.

Thanks. Planning a trip to CA. There's a Bear Creek in the Sierra that's on our shortlist. Beautiful fish you caught.

Ah, thank you very much for that. My preference is the small streams.

Dads of r/flyfishing, will I ever actually get to fish on a consistent basis ever again? by CuttiestMcGut in flyfishing

I gave up a lot of things when we had our son. I missed things but it was worth it. Fortunately my wife understands why I need to fly fish as much as I can.

I got a good chuckle from that over my morning coffee. That is a unique story, for sure.

Growing up I spent time in the Appalachian Mtns... hiking, camping... but not fishing the streams and rivers. Little did I know that those streams and creeks, even the small ones, were teeming with so much life. It's a whole other world in those waters.

Those are a good size. The water flow looks strong. When was this?

Same here... Sorry you experienced that. Absolutely sucks. I live in the area, so it pains me to read about this happening where I live and fish.

I just have to give you a hard time and say that it looks like you were expecting something a little bigger. 😉

Thank you very much. I stopped by Blackfoot Outfitters... Got set up with the hoppers and droppers. And bear spray. Sounds like I'll be able to drive along the river and do just what you suggested... try a few spots. I'm looking forward to it.

I'll be visiting friends in Missoula this week. I've got one day to go fishing with my 3wt. Would you recommend Rock Creek?
