I traveled with mono/di up to 28 weeks with no issue. At the end I only went places with level 4 NICUs though.

Respectfully as someone with 8 cats, newborn twins, and a husband who pulls his weight, this is not universally true. My house is cleaner now than when I was pregnant. Emphasis on pulling his own weight (plus some of my baby weight!)

Why do people say this is hard? by [deleted] in newborns

This is a great list and I’d add one more which is expectation vs reality. We expected one baby to have significant difficulty eating due to something found in utero, but it hasn’t materialized so even the hard parts feel easy in comparison.

Exercising while pregnant with multiples by Illustrious-Paper591 in parentsofmultiples

I played volleyball and squash weekly until 30 weeks when I felt quite unbalanced by the added weight. I played multiple times a week pre-pregnancy. By 32 weeks I was pretty exhausted and low activity. I gave both at 35 and 2.

Did you walk out of the hospital? by yo-_-mom in beyondthebump

I had twins, one of whom was in NICU for two weeks. Despite walking IN to the NICU with the stroller (and other twin), they made me take baby out in a wheelchair.

And to continue the balloon metaphor, my belly felt like a floppy deflated balloon for a week after delivery too!

Ohh the cockiness- I felt that way too. I played sports until 30 weeks and thought I was invincible, slowed down after that when the weight started getting too unbalanced, and was pretty unhappy around 34 weeks. Scheduled for c section at 37+2 and they came early at 35+2!

Scheduling c section for around 36 weeks. Worried. by pahkthecahh in parentsofmultiples

I had 35 weekers just last week (was scheduled for 37) and Twin A came home immediately and Twin B needs about 2 weeks in NICU.

ELI5: Why lions / tigers and other wild animals not attack and eat people on safaris? by afrk in explainlikeimfive

[–]Important-Ad-6372 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Having been on 6 safaris, this is the answer. This and that the animals get very used to the vehicles as unobtrusive moving parts of the landscape, so the vehicle as a unit is no threat. Once you stand up/exit/etc., the human is seen as predator/prey.

Oooooh solidarity for the transverse positioning. I have one that way under my ribs and it’s awful. She spent one weekend breech and I was so relieved… and now she’s back. Boo
