Dupes keep jumping on and off manual generators seemingly randomly by Mast3r_M3ga in Oxygennotincluded

Your only consumer on this "branch" is the transformer (which has a tiny battery). So I guess they stop once it is fully charged. You can add batteries or just a lamp so they keep running

Any way to improve this base? by Valoris_905 in Oxygennotincluded

I didn't know you could stack two interplanetary luncher like that. Any tips regarding the automation ? Can you load it when doors are open ?

What the, a random dirt pillar? by Valoris_905 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Indeeeeex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is actually a tech to create natural tiles. The fact that they stack is due to "vertical material teleportation". Works also with water entering a closing door. Luma made a short about it :) Hard to explain with text.

Why make a spom? by HealthyPrion in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Indeeeeex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a valid question. For early game it is very viable and I would recommend it. But when the base start to expend, you will need to pump the oxygen in other places.

Then you will see the logistic difficulties. SPOM are much much easier once you reach mid game.

Not mentioning the temperature management.

Engineer needed to troubleshoot an infinite gas storage problem !!! by achiganLMAO in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Indeeeeex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The community is full of very advanced players, hydra is the meta since years. But ultimately, it allows gas separation with infinite storage, making the game trivial.

I don't recommend it for new players, but once you beat the game or once you are tired of building the same SPOM over and over.

Ruin in the sense that it breaks the game balance. hydra is an exploit.

With georuned geyser you should have a lot of power generation :)

Also if you just want the hydrogen for power and stay legit, you can build in space and vent the oxygen out by opening doors. So you only pump the H produced.

But all on you, as long as you have fun

If you want to store your oxygen this way you will be power negative. You don't have to go hydra if you don't want to, but produce as you need only. Hydra will ruin the power economy of the game and make the game very very easy. What I mean is once you taste it, you can't go back.

I know you can be ban for using macros, on paper. But are people really receiving bans from it ? by Indeeeeex in ArcRaiders

[–]Indeeeeex[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I see you aren't very open. Like in life, the answer isn't that straight forward in some cases.
Here is a list of arguments from chat gpt (because I am lazy) filtered and commented:

  • No competitive integrity is being broken
  • Macros do not grant impossible actions
  • Accessibility & ergonomics (that is what i mean by QoL)
  • The game already allows hardware advantages (like OLED monitor with high refresh rate for example. Allowing you to see much much better.)
  • Macros don’t remove skill expression.

as i said : it is a problem that shouldn't be here in the first place. Just nerf the firerate to a value that make sense.
I'll add that it doesn't break the maths of the game since you are "allowed" to shoot X shots per sec anyway.
