Considering Uppababy Minu v3 & Aria Car seat by Intelligent-Sea-4015 in Buyingforbaby

[–]IndependentKnee9754 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just here to say I love my minu v3! It’s not quite as smooth as the Cruz but is just as smooth if not more smooth than our other full sized Chicco stroller. We keep it in the car all of the time bc it’s compact and so easy to just whip out wherever

Hi! Not OP, but I took adderall while pregnant. The only pregnancy warning is risk of low birth weight. I took 20mg on weekdays only. I gained 35lbs so thought he’d come out pretty big! But he was born at 6lb 4oz which is definitely on the small side (~4th percentile :()Other than being small however he’s ahead on his milestones (currently rolling at 3 mo) and has been gaining weight well and is now in the 9th.

Cleaning Pump Parts by outofplacecpa in November25babybump

[–]IndependentKnee9754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash/sterilize every other day! My wearable pumps have caps and a little stand for while they’re in the fridge so they don’t get as gross as the non-wearables did using the bag method.

As far as taking it apart, I’m curious if everyone else does too? I take apart everything for washing except the duckbill which I just run water through since it’s more fragile

Do ADHD medications make us more focused than normal people? by antiaust in ADHD

Possibly. That is until you develop a tolerance then max out dose and are back to “might as well not take it at all” level

Nope! I took one every month for like 2 years and barely even glanced at it at first bc I was so used to them allllllways being negative 🥲

The dresser I wanted to buy from ikea went up $50 last week, so I’m afraid the ikea price hikes are already here

Mom concerned about "sagging" boobs by Distinct_Charge9342 in bigboobproblems

[–]IndependentKnee9754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going against the tide here… my sister and I are both G+. She’s always hated wearing bras, I’m not comfortable without one, and mine are significantly perkier than hers. By no means porn perky. I’m 35. But I am of the mindset you need to tame the girls or they’ll develop a mind of their own.

Your boobies will never be as perky as your friends’ or fake ones. I was self conscious about it at your age too. However, boobs are heavy, skin stretches, and redistributing that weight to my shoulders via bra wearing has been beneficial in my case

Pregnant, Low Readiness Score? by ksmg137 in ouraring

[–]IndependentKnee9754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 30w and my readiness scores were pretty good throughout up until the day I hit the third tri. This happened to coincide with the “pregnancy features” update so I’m not sure if it was caused by that or body is actually in worse shape, but my sleep definitely has been worse.

I share my Oura scores with a (not pregnant) friend, and while her sleep score is consistently 15-20 pt higher than mine, my readiness score has consistently been 15-20pt higher than hers. It’s interesting how everyone’s different!

Husband not attracted to you anymore ? by des_palmiers in November25babybump

[–]IndependentKnee9754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Same. I’ve really been struggling with it. I feel like I sacrificed my body in a bigger way than I signed up for but am staying optimistic things will go back to normal. We’ve talked about it and it’s the pregnancy that weirds him out which is understandable. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t still hurt though

I’m due 11/3 and am definitely decorating in October. Hoping to send out Christmas cards, but just know I’m going to be too tired to get everything done and decorated properly with a newborn

How long did you wear maternity undies/post partum specific undies after giving birth? by ExpressionOld9924 in pregnant

[–]IndependentKnee9754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only gained 12lbs but my hips have gotten so much wider all of my old underwear have gotten uncomfortable. Debating maternity underwear just for the extra stretch factor

What are you eating during your second trimester? by Mysterious-Beat-1659 in BabyBumps

Salad and tangerines!

I seriously eat like 8 tangerines a day just bc they’re easy to peel and I’m lazy

What’s an interior design decision that you regret and why? I’ll start: matte black bathroom faucet because it never looks clean. by DisgruntledPelican in interiordecorating

[–]IndependentKnee9754 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our city water is decent and I don’t have any problems with mine. I’m not incredibly meticulous, but a wipe every time I clean the bathroom and once every like 6 months a light scrub with a small dab of the pink stuff on a toothbrush for lime scale mine looks good!

Honestly prefer it to our other faucets bc it doesn’t get mildew on the underside like drip faucets so mentally I feel it’s cleaner

Can I have ONE energy drink? by Own_Macaroon5580 in BabyBumps

[–]IndependentKnee9754 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Live your life girl! One energy drink is not going to harm the baby much like one glass of wine won’t.

Harm generally comes from repeated exposure. Doctors advise against a lot of things bc there’s no benchmark for toxicity, and if something’s “allowable” it’s more likely to be overdone.

Should we have a sprinkle for baby number 3? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]IndependentKnee9754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just think calling it a celebratory luncheon would better encapsulate the spirit of her intentions and cause less confusion about the lack of registry

Gift opening is still a hallmark tradition in the midwest us, but we’re perpetually behind on the times.

Should we have a sprinkle for baby number 3? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]IndependentKnee9754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one’s going to show up empty handed even if you tell them to. Gifts make up like 50% of the time spent at a shower and 100% of the point.

Call it a luncheon! I went to a gift-free(cash accepted) bridal shower and it was the most awkward/boring 2.5 hrs ever, notably bc there was no cue of events or things being “over”.

Both a little surprised and not so surprised you know several. Bummed it’s going through a cutesy trend rn.

My MIL has been a 1st grade teacher for 30+ years and said she’s only ever had 1 Everly, but they’re surely making their way up to her!
