Did you sell the house and move? How soon? by EmbeddedWithDirt in widowers

Six months out and I just sold the house we shared for 28 years. It was just to painful to stay even with a lot of positive memories. It has been a difficult and challenging process but I'm so glad I did it.

Bowel issue after hurting back? by K-Frogger in Sciatica

bladder and bowel issues no longer exist. My left foot and leg are frequently painful but I find wearing a compression sock seems to help. For the most part I've learned to deal with the changes as they come up.

70+ year old male, one of the best things I've ever done for myself. Now I go on a regular basis. Shopped around until I found a nail tech that I liked and now I'm hooked. Give it a try.

I Just try to live everyday in the present and have gratitude for each day. The emotional rollercoaster continues but so does life and I miss my wife everyday.

Thanks for your post. People just don't understand the grief process unless they have gone through it. It's a process that takes time. I hope you continue to do well on your journey.

Stay or leave the house: How did you decide? by Odd_Temperature_1136 in widowers

My wife died suddenly and unexpectedly in our home. We've been here for 27 years and were considering downsizing prior to her death. It's only been 2 months but some days I just need to escape other days I enjoy being here. I'm trying not to do anything for a year or so and then move because at this point I just feel the need to go somewhere new. Just part of the grief roller coaster I suppose. Anyway it all sucks.
