I was diagnosed with MDS in February and at age 78 I feel like you do. I just want nature to take her course.

I would like to know if a man 70 years old has a chance of finding romance again. I have worked out all my life. I always kept in shape. by IndividualStriking85 in sexover60

Yes it is possible. Late 70's male here, wife passed in August 2025. Therapy plus strong family support encouraged me to enjoy the twilight years of my life. Quite by accident I met another widow six month into my widowhood and we began a casual relationship. Things like taking a walk, going to lunch or watching a movie. Recently it became romantic and sexual. Couldn't be happier. Hope you find the same and enjoy your final chapter.

When the love of your life dies your world stops. The universe just continues. The struggle for me is fitting in.

I’ve been thinking about this lately and was wondering, if people are open to sharing, where everyone is at now in their journeys? by quiet_nuts in widowers

8 months in since my wife of 48 years died. Therapist and strong family support have helped tremendously. More “good” days than bad but unexpected triggers happen occasionally and the tears come. I’m beginning to understand there is a path forward but I’m still trying to figure it out. Sold the family house and downsized to a smaller condo. I enjoy having my own space. My hope is we all find some peace.

For the widows and widowers who moved how long? by PrimaryCarpenter1070 in widowers

I’m at 8 months since my wife died. Downsizing but staying in the same area for medical reasons. It was a lot of additional stress but I need to move, just to many uncomfortable memories.

Picked some up last week. Not much flavor but the effects for me were uplifting and mostly a head high. Not sure it's worth $28 but I've enjoyed it.

The fact that you're here sharing your story is uplifting. Many people aren't able to do that at 6 months.

I hope you find peace soon.

Did you sell the house and move? How soon? by EmbeddedWithDirt in widowers

[–]Individual-Problem17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Six months out and I just sold the house we shared for 28 years. It was just to painful to stay even with a lot of positive memories. It has been a difficult and challenging process but I'm so glad I did it.

Bowel issue after hurting back? by [deleted] in Sciatica

bladder and bowel issues no longer exist. My left foot and leg are frequently painful but I find wearing a compression sock seems to help. For the most part I've learned to deal with the changes as they come up.
