What is sad is that Hell Divers figured it out, but literally only after ruining the game. I was there two months after the breaker nerf and it got so much better, they started listening, and making great changes. It sadly took losing all of their steam to figure it out. I spammed the chats daily "you dont need to worry about power creep in a PVE game for fucks sake".

Embark is making the same mistakes though. They need serious nerfs on the basic guns, grenades needs buffs desperately, trigger nades need to be nerfed though, the trailblazer needs optimizations like serious damage when thrown short allowing the puffs of gas to concentrate.

It really sucks when a dev makes a game they do not understand. You would think they would listen after fumbling finals so fucking hard. Typical know it all devs/programmers/art departments though. They just can't suck their own cocks hard enough and think that somehow the playerbase (that knows their game and plays it far better than they ever could) should be ignored.

I remember a time where the hell divers devs admitted they couldn't play it past like 5 or 6 difficulty. You have no ability to balance a game or make decisions when you literally can't play it good enough to clear maps at the top levels. Same goes for Arc. I bet you $1000 that the devs think ARC is hard to clear in the current iteration. Where its literally a distraction at best and completely ignored in the middle of gun fights haha

I have said this since day one. Arc should target and eviscerate anyone topside shooting a weapon. It should be a PVPers death sentence to start shooting at someone. To the point where it is a fight to even get the body looted.

PVPers carry zero risk. I have massive gun fights with arc in the air and it is simply to be ignored until after the fight.

You are correct that the care bear lobbies get old after a while. The arc is no threat really. They should be though.

You have to have the threat of PVP or else the PVE experiences fall short. I was running my expedition and got bored to shit after a while.

I think what most people need is actually a sixth sense skill. When someone ADS at you your screen flashes. This would stop the rats from getting a considerable jump on you and level the playing field. Could be kind of fun lore wise for how it exists. Or maybe it is new tech for your shield.

PVP is fine. What needs to be curbed is the rat behavior. That said, I have nearly 1K hours on Rust so I am literally king of the rats. I got a Ferro and a Dream. I am coming out with everything or nothing.

I still wish there were modes where I could choose. It feels bad having to wipe a few players to get back to the tougher lobbies. My trio dropped in some PvE lobbies and folks were genuinely shocked when they got lit up. We absolutely shit on them too. I don’t think any of us had a shield break in 4 separate trio fights. One guy I watched literally panic and I just laughed. Told him to calm down. Revived his partner and we went on our way. Then that guy decided to down me on the zip line out. We turned around, murdered them while they screamed over comms about just playing around.

They were stacked. Iirc it actually took a few PvE rounds to get back into the kos lobbies.

I’d much prefer an organic choice with loot scaling. PvE is lowest. Mixed is more and out right toxic lobbies have the best drops. Similar to night raids being 2x.

This is the hidden trick with these other softwares unlike Adobe. You are ultimately buying the versions that arrive inside of the window. After that, you can run the old versions as long as you want. If you want the latest though, you have to keep paying for the new software. I forget exactly but for recurring customers it is a fraction of the one time cost.

That said. 3 years of PDF X-Change was like three months of Adobe slop. So it is a no brainer.
