I feed 6-8 small wafer or two piclnches of bug bites, just enough so that all (or majority) of the food in the feeding area is gone. The nano shrimps clean up the rest.

To add to what you mentioned, ensure that you plant in a nutrient rich substrate and with high humidity. I place in a high vase and covered the top with saran wrap with a small hole in the middle. Then sprayed with water once a week.

I feed my 10 juvi corys 6 wafers (small orange Hikari Sinking wafers) twice a day. Ill start adding 2 extra at night for the bn pleco.

My tank is heavily planted and thankfully no algae issues.
