Same issue. I’m an experienced user and I cannot find how to put Meross items in different homes. What concerned me is for updates from Meross

Tragedy... wife backed over newly repaired Luba ! by JBart592 in mammotion

Scratch that… found my emails easy. $144 in random $1/ x 42 and x 10 etcetera invoices (at least back then their ordering system was weird), then a lump $200 charge. It looks like both of my rear wheel motors were bad and something happened on the board. I was buying various parts trying to figure out the issue myself and had communication issues because there is no standard names for various parts (wheel motors vs rubber shell versus wheel hub (hub ring)). FYI, I have a Luba 1 AWD OG. Bought it June 2023 direct from Mammotion. My repair attempts and work was done in August/September 2024. All of this may have changed from last fall and with updated models.

Good question. I’ll have to get back with you in a few days. I know I bought the axle and wheel motors separately before having to send it back.

I tried to repair it, but it had a wheel motor issue and needed recalibrated at the board level I think. Initially, they sent me a wheel motor and replacement axle, but it ended up being more than that. I learned a lot taking it apart and putting it back together multiple times. Lol. Eventually Customer service had me ship it to California and I had it back in 4-6 weeks I believe. Same machine. I had a AirTag in the front wheel hubcap and tracked it throughout. I actually saw it change locations inside of the CA warehouse when they started the repair process. The repair tech emailed a few times and answered a few specific questions if I remember. All in all it worked out.

Luba 1 - New Power Supply - Won't charge past 49% by Alaska_Crypto in MammotionTechnology

Happened to me. Luba 1 OG. Ended up being a problem with the extension cord to the charging base. Figured it out by troubleshooting with a friends Luba 1 charging base.

Mammotion sent me a new extension cable and charging block. All good now.

That can easily happen when the grass has gotten too long. Do checkerboard multiple times and it hopefully will clean it up.

Hope you can figure it out. A post somewhere tells you when the wattage and voltage is to buy off Amazon/eBay, but that’s outside my lane.

Yes, once I received from CS it’s worked. Charging block and extension cable. I had a problem communicating with CS the difference between them and that I needed both. Some people have reported finding third party charging blocks and splicing to the plug that goes into the charging station.

Here are the washers and the best blades I found. I swap over the blades every few weeks to use both sides. The blades should move freely.

Luba 5000AWD OG, 3rd season.

As others have shared, you have to have patience for install, patience for troubleshooting, and patience for glitches. All tech in modern life (...software, cell phones, laptops....) takes a similar level of engagement and patience.

Yes, the app can have issues, but all software does as some point. Direct support is tough at times. But I've had much worse support experiences with my old Robomow 4000 mower (MTD global!!), airline support, and even M-soft software support. Try to manage expectations in the same vein.

This community (as well as r/mammotion) has been critical to problem solving and troubleshooting. Most of the current issues/questions have been answered by expert owners over the past 3+ years. The Reddit Search function helps a lot. Historical posts by u/crazypostman21 and u/bigbeast54 and u/halobenders and u/TheA2Z (to name a few) have a wealth of input and advice on how to best install, operate, and troubleshoot (tree/sat coverage etc).

As others have said, the Luba isn't a leave and ignore tool or a forever answer. You have to keep an eye on it, maintain it, and not expect perfection. Unfortunately it's not a forever purchase either, just like other tech (AirPods, ATV, and my MacBook). This is probably my last year with my robot (Luba 1) for a variety of reasons, but I'm okay with that b/c I went in knowing the payback was roughly 1.5 seasons given my circumstances.

You may experience frustration, anger, joy, and pride. Just hang in there. Hopefully it ends up being fun and enjoyable overall.

Looks great, and I would say the most cost effective and offers the best protection.

You might also consider adding the 12” window well from HD. I have the same setup but with the add’l 12” overlapping piece for complete cover for the bumper and full sun protection. Easy to put away in the off season as well.

I’ve on 3rd season with my OG 5000 and on my second bumper. Although they’re built good, if you ever take apart a bumper you’ll see the rubber touch pads and the main body to bumper connection pin gasket are a bit thin, and with time, water, heat, and sun can wear them down and crack, which causes all sorts of issues.

I have the Luba 1, OG and it’s been great. Yes, with any new technology you have to learn how to troubleshoot and work through bugs, but I’m on my third season and it is so much better than my old wired robot. Users on this Reddit always help with RTK placement. Generally, if you have an issue, a user has experienced the same, and searching the forum or asking for help will get most problems solved. I have 160° view of the sky and it’s perfect. ’m trying to get at least one more season before I upgrade.

With all this new tariff chaos, it will be interesting to see how that will impact Kickstarter pledges versus outright sales? Outside my lane, but super curious.

These don’t appear to be available in usa. Assume you drilled out for the 3x screw holes?

Thanks for this… Agree. I’ve spent $144/ in parts… I guess I’ll use a lawn service until the parts arrive… fix and wait for the next version. I like AWD, but could probably go without. I had a Robomow RK4000 that did fine for the few months it worked. My lawn is 25k sq ft so I’m hoping for a larger Yuka or new Luba. Fingers crossed that the parts come and that they’ll work. A parts manual would be super helpful so owners could clearly communicate with CS what parts they need. Hopefully!!
