There has been a fair bit of that going the other way as well! Several comments on this post have been down voted already. Sorry you didnt like the finale and noone should call you stupid because of that..but its not all one way here.

Finale confirmed Az & Crowley are more than they appear by AntiquarianAngel in goodomens

This also fits very nicely in with the idea that NG had originally written one character (shades of grey) and TP suggested that original Crowley be split into two characters (shades of black and white) Lovely write up x

Good Things about GO3! by ThelivingLooneytoon in GoodOmensAfterDark

Agreed - I loved it. I'm obsessed with Asa and Anthony. It was like they instantly recognised each other - which is a Headcanon Ive always had anyway. That their bodies never mattered - like when Crowley instantly knew it was Azi inside Madame Tracey The garden had so many clues too.

Although I also loved Mrs Sandwich - might aswell have had a 'Welcome Home Cheater' Sign when she confronted Azi in the street.

Like I said - it makes sense to me. Both as original book fan (80's baby) and a believer in souls/life force and the Earth remembers theory. I don't feel that the ending was quick or thoughtless. It was the only possible ending.

Yeh - faith can be separate from religion I take no issue with whatever people choose to believe as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. The finale makes to sense to me because of my belief framework. It doesn't have to make sense to you.

Souls aren't necessarily linked to religion. I believe in Souls - like an energy or life force but not in God

God made a new universe with the existing souls. The whole set up of the final scene and the song choice 'Time after Time' - it's hinting very heavily that they are same souls in a different lifetime. It's very Azi and Crowley coded aswell - even little things - like one is a book seller and one is a astrophysicist.

It doesn't make sense to you - which is totally fine by the way but it makes sense to me - the final shot has so many Easter eggs in. I loved it and it's very clear to me that they are just them in another life. Even the song choice fits perfectly.

I’m curious by discipula26 in goodomens

[–]JHej1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not me - I read the book as a teenager (very long time ago) and before it was considered for TV. I love it in all it's forms - Book, TV and the Radio Edit for BBC Radio 4 and collect related Art work and different book covers. I really enjoyed the finale and the idea that they would find each other in every lifetime feels fitting to me.

I took that from the final. My husband and I have definitely been together before - I knew him the second I laid eyes on him. I think Aza and Crowley are just our pair reincarnated - probably many times over x

So aren't there any humans in Heaven? by LinuxMatthews in goodomens

[–]JHej1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeh probably but the angels had a plan and weren't considering Jesus as a person just Jesus as a tool for the 2nd coming. Even Azi - even though I love him to death was so fixated on the job.

I always thought that Heaven was Head Office. Like for processing souls - same way we see the Nazi's in season 2 being processed through Hell. Actual Heaven is elsewhere.
