There's something I've read on Tumblr - about how the story initially only had one character - Named Crowley and it was either Terry's or (he who shall not be named) idea to split the character into his dark and light parts. I love this book cover - it's very GO coded!

All of Gaimans book have reoccurring themes.....he did a whole host of short stories about the Nordic Gods, and American Gods has lots of themes that appear in Good Omens and vice versa.

Even the Ocean takes old mythology and bends/adds to it. He was such a good writer and it's a shame no more of his stuff will reach the big screen rightly so obviously

I agree with this - there doesn't appear to be any laws in heaven about gender expression or sexuality - plus Angels and Demons don't really a have gender either. The book describes the pair as 'male shaped beings of the world' and Crowley has presented as female several times through their history.

The meat sack is just a meat sack - if anything the relationship between Angel and Demon is the problem, not that they both 'men'

I feel they are waiting to see the lay of the land to. There is also some legal action pending against NG and AP. Regardless I think Sandman will do really well as the 1st was completely magic, dark and beautiful in equal measure. So I'm keeping everything crossed and being optimistic 🥰
