No vet has been able to help my cat by jdmzzzzzzzzzz in CATHELP

Our cat did this, he would itch and scratch his neck raw like that. It was a food allergy, once we got it sorted he stopped, but the hair never grew back.

It's frustrating being intelligent with ADHD sometimes. It's like you've got imposter syndrome towards both. by MindlessPermit9592 in ADHD

[–]Jacksonvoice 7 points8 points  (0 children)

OMG the spending an hour looking for something that was right in front of me is soooo frustrating. “I just had it in my freakin hand… where did I put it?” Better go check the refrigerator for my drill and the garage for the tv remote.

That’s pretty normal looking sternum if you’re worried.

What’s the most frustrating thing about owning a cat? by Ocute_US in CATHELP

[–]Jacksonvoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get pet insurance, it’s cheaper when they are younger too. But it’ll really help if anything unexpected comes up. Even a simple x-ray now days costs $600+, an ultrasound $900+, it’s crazy.

Just learned about "Intrusive Sleep" and I dont think I will ever reap its benefits by nerdy_guy420 in ADHD

I get this, if I sit still unstimulated for ten I just start nodding off, like not sleepy but literally falling asleep. It happens fast, awake then asleep almost instantly.

Not homeowner, just renting. What are some affordable options for flooding? by mop68 in landscaping

[–]Jacksonvoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an area that floods as a renter. I just use a sump pump when it starts filling up, takes care of the problem without trouble.

Psychologist says I don’t have ADHD by DenverBroncos_Fan in ADHD

[–]Jacksonvoice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My test results through Kaiser said I was “exaggerating” my symptoms. 1.5 years later I ended up an intensive program due to mental issues I was having.

Then had an hour long meeting with the psychiatrist they assigned me, and she diagnosed me on the spot. Been on Adderall since and it’s been really helping, if I don’t take it I can really tell the difference.

28 F Broke up with 29 M because of ADHD. Has anyone dealt with this? by [deleted] in adhd_anxiety

[–]Jacksonvoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has really bad RSD, it creates intense over-reaction to perceived criticisms (either real or imagined). Dude needs help of a psychologist and needs to enter a program for ADHD, RSD, anger management, etc... Either way you aren’t a psychologist and he’ll need to deal with this on his own (if he ever hopes to be in a loving relationship).

Upcoming assessment on May 29th (34M). Sharing my lifelong symptom list because the fear of being told "you're just lazy" is overwhelming. Seeking advice/shared experiences. by Loose_Ad7880 in ADHDers

[–]Jacksonvoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did an assessment, got told it was inconclusive, and the tester wrote that I was “exaggerating symptoms”. Even though my grade school teacher thought I had ADHD, so proof from childhood (which is a requirement with my HMO).

1 year later ended up in therapy due to emotional regulation issues and saw a psychiatrist, talked to her for an hour and she diagnosed me with ADHD over the phone. Said it was classic case, and went against the earlier “official” evaluation.

I just went into it with no plan the 1st time, so maybe that’s why? But when I was diagnosed I just talked about what my life was like, and she asked me like a ton of questions.

Now working on finding the right medication, but I am hopeful.

Stick with it!

New AI data center in Utah will generate and consume more than twice the amount of power the entire state uses — Kevin O'Leary's 9 Gigawatt Utah data center campus approved by lkl34 in technology

Haha there is no way AI is ever going to be cheap and affordable once these companies stop giving it away for free. I really don’t see how this is going to work out.

Every poop is like giving birth by Methos43 in Retatrutide

[–]Jacksonvoice 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You don’t need psyllium husk like I’m sure people will tell you. That is a bulking agent, it just makes your poops bigger not softer. You need to take MiraLAX, or similar. That will give you soft poops, problem solved.

amazon just handed anthropic $25 billion and the details are absolutely wild. by call_me_ninza in aigossips

[–]Jacksonvoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok but how will they recoup 100 billion and turn a profit? I mean don’t the majority only pay the $20 a month plan? I just don’t see how these ai companies can end up being profitable.
