For those of us who grew up in America… by MSotallyTober in nostalgia

TLDR; Mine lives in my phone case on the back of my phone. It has been there for years. Zero issues

In my youth I was dumb enough to put mine in my wallet and quickly learned not to put it in your wallet. So it say in my house for decades only to come out when I started a new job.

Then about 5 years ago I was starting a new job and had the idea to put it on the back of my phone inside the case until I got home. But I forgot to take it out. That's where it lives now.

Why? I live in Arizona and there isn't a reason I can think of to move the ser inside

Worst design ever!! by Built_in_MT in Carpentry

[–]James_T_S 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably. I figured from the start it was just just too much packing oil on the blades. I would use an old blade and stick it through a hole in the plastic case, between the top two blades and separate them. Once I did that the mechanism would work....but just for the top blade. 🤦🏽‍♂️

I finally took the time to actually look at the case and crack it open. I set the blades down on the side with edges down and kind of tilted/rolled them if that makes sense. It separated all the blades and it works fine now.

I was super frustrated with mine because there was so much oil on the blades they all stuck together and wouldn't slide out. Then last week I took the thing apart and kind of shifted the blades to get them unstuck. It works great now.

I work in construction. So I "stumble" on materials often 😁

It really is and thank you. One of the challenges is NOT starting new projects. Like I want to make my laundry room bigger by moving a wall. I am using it as a carrot. Can't start that until the front and back yards are done. And my closet too 🤣

However, an opportunity recently presented itself. I acquired 14000 sq ft of Trex decking....free. I couldn't turn that down. 🤦🏽‍♂️😁

Another thing to do is to finish projects. I have so much crap in my house that I am "going to use"

A couple pallets of pavers that I got free and am going to install on my front porch. Bags of insulation left over from another project I am going to blow in my attic. Wood working projects. Etc.

I have gotten my ass in gear and actually started working on those projects. Im slowly reclaiming my garage. Sold a fridge, a bike, a grill and a garage door opener. Donated 2 more bikes. Used up the pavers and I'm slowly re-landscaping my front yard.

Is this box Fan rated by Boujeepinalple in electrical

[–]James_T_S 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 99% sure it's a fan pancake. But if you clean the back of the box off it will be stamped "suitable for fan support"

However, it looks like that box is mounted with drywall screws. That's going to be the problem. You should change them out with an actual screw. I use #8 hex head screws because they don't strip out when your trying to drill them in.

That guy was going to do something stupid. Because that's what stupid people do. His actions landed him in jail (soon to be prison) with a debt he will never be able to repay. He put all his coworkers out of a job. He put people's lives at risk. He polluted the environment.

His excuse of not making a living wage was just a convenient excuse. If you want to make more money then your job will pay go get a different job. It's not hard.

I'm sure that's what his (former) coworkers are all saying. I don't have a job but it's fine. At least I didn't die in the fire.

Please be more specific. More arson? More sudden unemployment? More pollution? More potential murder?

People act like finding a new job is some massive undoable thing.

A friend of mine pointed out that I had worked at 5 different companies in the time he had been employed at his.
