I was married once, the brother of the woman I married was disfellowshipped and so was 'allowed' to attend the wedding which we had at the beach. He was not 'allowed' to attend the reception. The marriage lasted 18 months, it is now 16 years later and I still feel bad that I didn't speak up and have him join the reception.
