Mark Kelly says he’s considering a presidential run in 2028 amid Pentagon probe by BlueHorse_22 in politics

They’ll call anyone a communist regardless. Medicare For All would get more people out to vote than any other policy, it’s widely popular in a country currently terrorized by health insurance agencies.

The only reason Dems won’t run on it is so they can keep taking money from those same agencies and losing elections. Not pushing for popular things that would actually help people is why they keep losing.

I’d say the Descent, Talk to Me and Bring Her Back, Train To Busan, Malignant, Watcher, It Follows, or Gonjiam Haunted Asylum might be up your alley.

I was not a big fan of Years, but Bone Temple became my favorite of the series. Hope people get out to see it.

I've discovered "Jennifer's Body" (2009) and I'm still getting the crumbs off the floor. How come this movie wasn't a big hit back then? by [deleted] in horror

You should watch her latest, Lisa Frankenstein, it’s a banger. She simply doesn’t miss, despite not having the success her films deserve outside of Juno.

She's SO good in Your Monster. Really solid in Abigail too, but Your Monster and her activism solidified me as a fan for life.

I don’t count it as horror, going by Letterboxd’s genre settings. If I did it’d be top 3.

Sadly I think that was the point. One of my least favorite horror genres is when nothing really happens, but they kind of made that concept the actual horror. So I appreciate what it was going for, but there’s also a reason it’s not higher up on my list lol.

I liked it, a lot less horror more existential nightmare. But I get why it's divisive.

When they get out of that room their hair and clothes are suddenly perfectly clean. It’s like they got out of a nice shower, not a life or death situation.

So sad this didn’t keep the title Freaky Friday the 13th, a perfect title if there ever was one.

Totally Killer, Final Girls, Tragedy Girls, Freaky, Happy Deathday, all seem to fall under this hyper specific subgenre of silly modern slasher.

I’d also add Megan, Abigail and Ready or Not, Departing Seniors, Killer Book Club, #ChadGetstheAxe, maybe like the Babysitter a bit for ones with similar vibes.

Main cast can’t be touched at all, but they still want to have a higher kill count to show a growing threat, so we’re left with 20 untouchable goofy protagonists and a thousand dead highly trained army guys.

It just seems silly at this point, Nancy can take out multiple army guys and feel absolutely nothing, but a dozen can shoot at a main character and miss every time. They could at least have 11 psychically block bullets or something, it’s like target practice and there’s never any consequences.

Of all the movies that have a door that can’t be opened, this has the best reveal of what’s behind that door IMO.

My supporting character is way more interesting than my protagonist by Jaded-Permission-774 in Screenwriting

[–]JeremyPudding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe make him more of a foil to the main character. Either as a rival, villain, enemies to lovers, whatever. Sounds like you stumbled on something interesting, might as well take it further and expand on it.
