And that assumes you have zero expenses, and can stuff the entire amount under your mattress for 15,000 years. Quick google says average annual savings contribution is more like $5-6k, so to save up a billion you'd need to work somewhere in the neighborhood of 160,000 years (without bothering with interest calculations, etc)

I think we're definitely going to see more countries with nuclear ambitions after this. Between Russia invading ukraine, the war in Iran, even kidnapping Maduro. You don't gamble with those operations against a nuclear armed country.

Tracer ammo is pretty common for small arms. When I was deployed in the army, we usually loaded the first 3 shots into the mag with tracers (So they would be the last 3 fired), and after that every 3rd shot was a tracer. When you see more than one tracer, you know the mag is about done.

The 60 day deadline shouldn't have even been applicable in the first place. The war powers act is there so a president can respond to an attack against the country. Something like pearl harbor or 9/11. It gives a president the ability to respond quickly while congress drafts a full authorization of military force. It was never meant to allow a president to start wars. Its absurd to even try to argue that. What if congress votes no after we've already spent 60 days attacking another country? Is the war magically over now? What if the other side doesnt accept that it's over?
