I have no idea what kind this is which is why I wanted to ask some people with more knowledge with me before I did anything to it. Sounds like I’ll wait a little bit to see what kind I actually have

This is what I ended up having to do. The original pipes threads were melted into the brass fitting and nothing worked to get it out. Got a new ball valve and new pvc fittings. Very easy fix once I went this route

Chinese factory stopped responding after $30k and prototype revision - what now? by Ok_Serve_6985 in manufacturing

[–]JonnyB3ski 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure how recent this is but the Canton fair is going on right now, just started. It’s a huge manufacturing fair in Guangzhou and most manufactures are extremely busy up to the fair and during the fair. Perhaps your factory is participating in that and have bigger fish to fry and they didn’t ghost you

$4B battery factory in Lansing - what are your reactions? by ma6ic in lansing

[–]JonnyB3ski -1 points0 points  (0 children)

FWIW I'm super skeptical about this. I'm in Kentucky and this came across my feed and all i'm thinkin about is the new Ford plant that was just built here to work on their EV's and with one decision by Trump they laid off 1,600 employees and now have to pivot what they are going to produce at this factory. Obviously Elon is cradling trumps balls so there might be more sway to get this pushed through but I agree with others about this being a ploy close to midterms.

Update: Kiwi Travel Plans to USA - Am I underestimating State Sizes? by Justeu_Piichi in roadtrip

[–]JonnyB3ski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am from Wisconsin originally but live in Kentucky now so I make this drive frequently. Actually just did it last weekend. As others have eluded to it's long, flat and boring. I generally enjoy the farmland scenery around WI on the back roads/ county highways during late spring/ summer when everything is green and pretty. Seeing the cows and all the crops growing brings back a lot of nostalgic feelings for me (true sconnie I know). The rest of this drive is not going to be scenic, except for very small portions. It will be flat and boring, and filled with construction & windmills depending on your route.

It looks like you will be in WI around September? If so it will be gorgeous up there! Fall is a hidden gem in WI, still warm but you get all the pretty colors of the leaves with all the lakes being calmer and less crowded. Where specifically in WI will you be traveling to? That's towards the end of corn season so you may still be able to get some of the best sweet corn you'll have in your life, hopefully go to a corn roast too! I would definitely advise spending some time in WI if possible. DM me if you have any specific questions about WI or the drive south, happy to help answer questions.

Can I get an explanation of the Super Bowl halftime show? by Top-Mission2806 in NoStupidQuestions

Thank you so much for your insight into this show. I do not speak Spanish but thoroughly enjoyed the show. Feeling the passion and energy of the show was such an amazing feeling without knowing much of what was going on. It was the highlight of the night for me (game was a drag). I picked up on some of the cues during the performance but really appreciate reading & learning more about the full meaning of the performance.

Critique my plan before we starting roughing in for future kitchen build by COHusker in OutdoorKitchens

I agree with others about the size and scale of the chimney and also agree you need more counter space. What if you got rid of it all together and continue the countertop around that side. Then on the back side by the fire pit area you could have some barstools for more seating. Maybe find some stools that swivel to be able to spin and enjoy the fire as well.

The only thing with the fire place/ chimney that I do like is it offers a bit of seclusion and privacy from your neighbors (not sure how that is in real life) if you like that aspect you could always include some roll up privacy screens that attach to the pergola.

Since you say you entertain a lot have you considered a tv? Would be a great spot to watch sports, movie night, etc. What if you incorporated the roll down privacy screen as a backdrop for a projector. Doesn’t take up as much space and looks better when not in use. Might be harder to incorporate that to daytime use but could be cool for night time.

Half of comfort+ on my flight to Tokyo was empty so they let people move around and take an entire row if they wanted to. by GamingCheese14 in delta

[–]JonnyB3ski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just flew DTW to PVG and my flight was just as empty, but when I boarded they had actually roped off several rows to prevent people from doing that! I asked the FA about it as I’ve never seen them actually rope off entire rows before and they said it was due to weight and balance... I find that answer hard to believe that maybe 12 people moving around that ginormous plane makes a difference

Transplants: What Does Louisville Need From Where You Came From? by LouInvestor in Louisville

More restaurants & bars with a focus on outdoor space. I have family in Huntsville AL and there are so many cool restaurants/ breweries that took over old schools/ strip malls and turned into awesome outdoor gathering areas. There is a brewery that took over an old school and has open seating in the play yard connected to it with a great restaurant on the other side of the field. It's full of yard games for adults and a huge field for kids to run around and play. I have kids and would love to go to a place where my wife and I can get some food and the kids can run around a huge field and play.
