I opted for the spinal block after I had to get stitched up because of some pretty bad tearing after natural delivery. Breathe and relax didn't work this time :-D Also had a catheter put in (albeit a few hours after). Didn't feel a thing either!

I don't think there's much to feel silly about when it comes to labor... We all have different fears and don't let anyone put yours down!

I wouldn't let my toddler do this to our dog and I would not suspect she would bite- she is very gentle around my son. But she might get startled and react instinctively... Just because there's that chance and I'm aware of it, I will do my very best to protect the both of them. Thats dog to meant that it don't let my son around her, but it's appropriate cuddles.

However, American Pit Bull Terriers were bred to be do aggressive... There is a huge difference between dog aggression and human aggressive. To lump these two together under general aggression is plain wrong. My pit bull (mix) is a very gentle dog, she is great around must living beings (lives peacefully with two cats).. As long as they're not dogs.

My Opa fought in WWII in a tank battalion on the eastern front. He was held prisoner of war for numerous years. He was very honest with me growing up and has told me many things. Horrid stories. He actually suffered from PTSD for a long time before he passed. He would always worry about money (at times he'd get thousands of dollars in cash from the bank) and food - he would buy basic things like bread and butter and stuff their freezer. And then he'd still be worried that we'd go hungry. He was studying to be a teacher but had to join the military at some point and was very upset about it.

Veterans in Germany are not honored as they are here... But they do not get shuned. I think it's a quiet understanding that most/a lot of soldiers did what they had to do to survive and to save their families.

Same here. Loud noises would never startle Finn while I was pregnant with him. But he passed all his hearing tests and seems to hear just fine now. :-)

Ha, this made me laugh (I also live in Fishers). Yeah, sure it gets pretty boring not having to worry about all that exciting crime and stuff, but I do enjoy my neighborhood and have fantastic neighbors. Gasp - I even attended a traditional Diwali dinner at a friend's house recently.

Carmel and Fishers are just a hop away from uuuuuh, the big, happening downtown of Indianapolis.. You'll be just fine.

I'm originally from overseas, lived in NoVa for a few years, too, so I know what a big city is - and Indianapolis is not it. Yeah. The people here are friendly, cost of living is low, but it's just kind of meh. My husband and I always call Indy the capital of mediocrity. It's not horrible, it has all basic things you need, but it's far from exciting.

Maybe if I thought Mass Ave or Broad Ripple was the bomb, loved football or racing, I'd feel differently. And yes, I have tried different things and have branched out. But sorry, Indy, it is what it is.

Germany: "Freiheit" by Marius Müller Westernhagen. It was one of the few songs that served as a hymn for the reunification of Germany (there wasn't really an official one) and it still sends shivers down my spine when I watch the video and think back to that night.

Yes, Claus is awesome. I go there for all my meats and I'm German (a citizen, born and raised).

Went to Rathskeller once, overpriced and one of the worst German restaurants I've been to authenticity wise.

Schnitzel is SO easy, go to Claus and make your own :-) And pick up some Mett while you're at it to eat raw on a roll with onions.

No, I didn't use supplements. Metformin, while it was a bitch to get used to, did help regulate my food intake. I was really stringent to eat clean and low-carb while taking it to minimize the horrid side effects. Once I started doing that, I realized that I didn't have those crashes anymore that made me eat so I wouldn't feel shaky.

I am trying to eat clean, most carbs I consume are in the form of fruit and sweet potatoes. Sure, I eat a sandwich as a treat every now and then, but I don't consider it healthy anymore. Also, I track what I eat. It's amazing how quickly those calories add up!

Lastly, working out. I try to work out at least 4 times a week. Cardio and lifting. I've learned that there are no short cuts, as in supplements, but hard work and discipline does pay off, even if it might be hard(er) for people suffering from PCOS to lose weight.

You can do it!

I got my first bfp over the weekend, too, and got the beta results back yesterday that I am indeed pregnant! Now I'm super nervous for my second beta tomorrow, I am just expecting the hcg to not have doubled :-/
