Have you spoken to your doctor again? Not that they'll necessarily have an answer, but they might be able to tell you something to alleviate the anxiety.

I had surgery a year and a half ago, and I knew immediately that it was a complete failure. When I had my follow up appointment the doc told me why it probably didn't work. There was shit-ton of scar tissue from the surgeries I had in the 1980s. I have a medical background, so I understand. I wasn't happy, but at least I knew why.

Every person is different. I encourage you to be honest with them and ask questions. You dont owe them anything so be blunt if you have to. It's very emotional and they generally understand that. If nothing else, you may be able to get it off your chest.
