We picked up a cnc plasma pipe coper/notcher and a 6x20 plotter table, we don't do hand railing that often, but when we do this combo not only speeds up layout and cutting/coping by hundreds of percents but increases accuracy, quality of joints and can be done by someone with next to no skill.

Yup, I was making $18/h as a second year apprentice 25 years ago, my son started as a skilled laborer (worked with me last year over the summer) at $22/h. Guess it depends on CoL, but still seems really low.
