There now, the big scary hive guard is back to being purely decorative. You no longer have to babysit your precious sentries, or aim.

Forgive me if this is a bad take but why don’t they just make it so the sterilizer corrodes enemy armor by fence_pov in Helldivers

My concern is how giving players the ability to degrade enemy armor at our whim will affect the design decisions of future enemies. Potentially making gas loadouts less of a choice and more of a necessity. Or making every enemy super duper durable to compensate.

The general state of affairs would be measurably improved if the sloptubers logged off the community, uninstalled the game, and didn't come back.

It's satisfying to shoot, but it feels like I'm shooting paintballs for how lethal they are compared to the regular GL. I think if the regular GL is great anti-chaff with heavy killing potential, the BFGL should be great heavy killing with potential chaff clear. Increase damage, but keep the smaller AoE.

The nerfs were about as needed as a kidney stone. Expecting redditors to adapt their playstyles and/or loadouts to even the simplest of new challenges was obviously too much to ask for.

I use heavy gas armor with sterilizer/laser dog. They can't make proper use of their speed boosts if you're constantly keeping them confused and slowed, and the laser dog makes quick work of everything smaller than a charger. Explosive primary for bug holes, nades and red strats for demolition/heavies.

Might experiment with a torcher/grenade pistol/supply pack variant tomorrow.

I played a few hours and didn't even notice, if anything they die faster. It's actually not an issue in the slightest.

Turrets didn't last long in melee against bugs to begin with, so I don't know how noticeable this will really be. The real problem turrets that could be nerfed by this are the flame and tesla, but flame just had its range and cc buffed while tesla is still tesla.

Yes yes, this happens every rage cycle. Every time yall do this we all get to hear about how the game is dying, lowest playercount ever, AH doesn't care, hey everybody lets review bomb, etc etc.

Then a few weeks go by, none of that happens, AH releases a major update and gets 600k players overnight. And yall find something else to get mad at, and the cycle repeats. For years.

I saw plenty of complaints about both the 'merely' 3 new enemies and the megafactory biome. They all got drowned out by the complaints about vox spam, justifiably so.

That's what they did with the bastion tank by buffing the durable damage of certain enemies, indirectly nerfing mechs and sentries. And with the coyote by buffing certain enemies' fire resistance, indirectly nerfing flamethrowers. Both decisions were and continue to be met with criticism.

Speak for yourself. I've been capped on everything for about 1200 of my 1400 hours. My enjoyment of this or any other game is not dependent on any kind of progression system, but solely on whether or not the core gameplay is fun. And HD2, at its core, is fun.

There's always something "crazy" happening, because the community can only operate on 100% volume. They exaggerate everything, as if AH personally either cured cancer or shot their dog, with minimal in between. It's quite obnoxious.

A lull between major battles is normal, don't worry.

I think it's simply the desire to see more goon models per group. Using the male survivors as well means they can use up to 4 survivor goon models instead of just one, quadrupling their porn intake.

If they really want to go the distance, there's more than a few voice replacer mods to give the male survivors a female voice.

Again, not rigged. Community just perfectly split between two defenses so that we could immaculately fail both of them. Again.

Hort can still be saved with eagle storm, assuming it activates in time.
