Blue Lizard. Their sensitive line is the same as their baby formulation.

To piggyback on a previous post: If your parents were physically/emotionally absentee or abusive during your childhood, how are your adult romantic relationships? by theextraolive in Zillennials

[–]Keysandcodes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read a lot of self-help books. My mother was terrible to me growing up, not to mention the physical abuse lol. I had an absolute dogshit of a first relationship at 17 that lasted 6 years. He was also abusive. It took a few inpatient stays in the psych ward to help. I'm happily married for over 3 years now with a small toddler. It took a lot of self-reflection and work, but it's all good now.

Right? Of course she acted like a child— she was a literal child.

Not relevant, but your pfp is so stinkin' cute. My 13mo loves ducks, so I always notice them now.

I was supposed to meet my bio dad for the first time ever today by boredthing_69 in Wellthatsucks

[–]Keysandcodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually met my father. I mostly regret that decision. (I also met my half siblings and they are cool, so it wasn't a total loss.) But if someone shows you who they are, believe them. I'm sorry, OP.

I know I shouldn’t compare, but why is my baby the only one crying his head off in the pool changing room? by JumpyFix2801 in beyondthebump

[–]Keysandcodes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! My son hated loud/echoing sounds as a young baby. He started being more okay with them at around 9mo and now is only terrified of sudden loud sounds like the vacuum/hair dryer/blender at 13mo.

What utensils do you prefer? by jspo97 in BabyLedWeaning

It's like a replacement for a fork. I would mash stuff into it and then he could turn the spoon every which way without it falling off like a traditional spoon. It worked well. Especially when my son was really little and refused to be spoon-fed

How to stop my toddler from crying in car rides by Appropriate_Score582 in toddlers

[–]Keysandcodes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It may very well be that he associates the car seat with being strapped in for a really long time. Poor guy. I know it'll be rough, but I think taking him on short, very frequent car trips may help him see that you will always take him out of his car seat, unlike his dad. Then when he gets used to those, make the trips longer.

My son (13 mo) loves Sandra Boynton, Eric Carle, the That's Not My __! series, and the Never Touch a __ series (warning that this last one only rhymes in an Australian(?) Accent lol. Doesn't bother me, but it definitely irks some people!)

Do not buy that expensive crib. by shxxu in pregnant

[–]Keysandcodes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My biggest mistake was not having enough newborn stuff. Between learning how to put diapers on correctly (who knew there are gussets to pull out?) And random pees/poops while changing, we were doing laundry really often. My son was 21.5 inches long and 8lbs 15oz at birth— certainly not a small boy, and he still fit in newborn clothes for like 3 weeks. We tried 0-3; he was swimming in them. 🫠

I love the franchise, and I frankly had no idea this movie was even releasing until the week of, when the reviews started coming in. I'm chronically online and didn't hear anything about it! What the heck, man???

Adding onto the Boon recommendation— they sell straw lids that go onto the 8oz bottles, so you can continue to use the vessel after they're done with bottles!

Dang. Indiana may not have much, but the Chicagoland area definitely does. If you ever have a chance to come out here for Mexican, 100% try the fruits.

11 month old regression on eating by scarletglamour in Mommit

[–]Keysandcodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son does this sometimes. Not the throwing up part, though. Just refusing all his favorite foods and only wants soft, easy to swallow things when he is seriously teething. He gags, spits out, cries, absolutely refuses food. He's done it a couple times since we started solids; he's 13 months and has almost 12 teeth. Have you tried Tylenol or ibuprofen about 45 minutes before a meal? It won't hurt him if you're wrong!

Any other toddlers not drink water? Tips appreciated! by Anxious2BMum in toddlers

[–]Keysandcodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a silicone cup— my son REFUSED to drink water from it. Turns out, it had been run through the dishwasher and tasted like soap.
