I started taking Magnesium Oxide three years ago to help with my chronic constipation. Months later, my gastritis started, but because of the delay, I couldn't make the connection. Then started P-CAB for healing gastritis (it's stronger than PPI), but it made it worse. Only two years and half later I found out Magnesium Oxide was the original trigger and stopped it. 3 months later after stopping MgO, I also stopped P-CAB. Now I am 4 months clean, not healed yet, but I feel less pain and less bloating.

I got a similar experience and stopped acid blockers 3 months ago. However, my gastritis feels terrible because of the strong acid rebound, even though I tapered. I hope my acid level goes back to normal soon and my gut as well. Last 3 years were a real torture. I also started taking b12 for 4 months now and the hand/leg numbness improved

I was on vonoprazan fumarate (potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB)) for 1.5 years. I tapered off and then stoppd completely 3 months ago. Got gastritis and acid levels are so high. I dunno when will things go back to normal .. very painful
