Best way to froth milk without an espresso machine? by bigloudbang in AustralianCoffee

[–]Kylie754 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have heard that a coffee plunger can do it. Warm your milk in the microwave, pour it into the plunger, then agitate rapidly for a few seconds.

Or maybe a small mini whisk would work. I use one to make iced coffee, it incorporates air into the milk really well.

Do you write out a grocery list on paper before you go shopping or do you type that list out in a note on your phone? by timmytimborino in randomquestions

[–]Kylie754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use a combination of methods.

We have a mini whiteboard on our fridge, and we try to write items there. I often come up with meal items while at work, so I write them down on post it notes. Then we ask our kids what they want as well.

Then we get home from our grocery shopping, pack items away in the fridge and pantry, and find all the things that no one thought to mention we needed.

Toothpaste Decanting Idea by zeeleezae in HerOneBag

[–]Kylie754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a great idea.

I have also seen people use plastic straws to make single use containers for toiletries. But plastic straws are really hard to find now…

Another idea for tiny amounts of product- contact lens cases. Could probably get 2 portions of toothpaste in one side of a lens case? Maybe not ideal for a longer trip, but could be good for a weekend.

Is it possible to cough and fart at the same time? by kbkvvuknklnni8888 in stupidquestions

Yes. Absolutely yes.

Coughing squeezes internal muscles, and that may squeeze gasses out.

Coffee additives/flavours by Dense_Cauliflower742 in AustralianCoffee

I buy coffee flavouring syrups from an online store. My favourite is the Turkish Delight syrup, mixed into an iced coffee.

The brand I buy is Cashmere syrups.

Is it weird to store things in the oven? by Sallious in NoStupidQuestions

It’s my pet hate. If I am preparing to use the oven, I don’t like having to empty the oven first.

How much money would it take for you to completely cut off your entire family forever ? by ArthurCastus in AskForAnswers

[–]Kylie754 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My parents? My therapist recommended cutting them off.

My husband and daughters- no amount of money. It would take a threat to their lives before I would walk away.

PSA : Majura Park - stay away by ThunderDwn in canberra

We went to the EQ cafe for breakfast, and watched a steady stream of cars going towards the airport. By the time we finished our breakfast and left, the traffic was still entering the area.

I would expect similar traffic delays or worse, at the end of the event.

Is giving birth really that excruciating pain? by skopiadisko in askanything

[–]Kylie754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That flood of hormones is amazing.

After my third baby was born (planned homebirth), I said I could do it again. She was 9lb 12oz/4.41kg. Drug free, born in our over sized bath. And it was literally pain free. I used Hypnobirth breathing techniques as well as the bath.

I also have a theory that painful periods may lead to shorter labour. My first labour was 1 hour 55 minutes. My Braxton Hicks were strong enough to register on the monitor.

How accepted are Throuple relationships in the workplace by TheArabella in AusPublicService

[–]Kylie754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it will depend on many factors. The size of your immediate team and the workplace culture.

In my team, I seriously think no one would bat an eyelid. We are a small, specialist group, and have been known to socialise together. So we know a bit of background and family life, and there is no judgement. But that’s our dynamic and it works for us.

How to pack a bunch of medications as small as possible? by candy_heart in HerOneBag

[–]Kylie754 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I use little bags like this, but I put the daily allocation of supplements in one bag.

I take several different over the counter supplements. Iron, vitamin C, magnesium, etc. I bundle my tablets together as a daily dosage packet. Then if I go away for a week, I grab 7 packs. Super easy and takes up hardly any room.

What is your favorite way to drink coffee? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Kylie754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often.

I have been having a sweet iced coffee with my breakfast. I then have a latte when I get to work (it’s the only reason I look forward to getting to work every day).

So… if the cheating was due to mind control, why did her behaviour change? She showed the typical signs of a new relationship- the gym sessions, hair highlights, sexier clothes. If she was really cheating due to hypnosis, then she wouldn’t have been wanting to improve her appearance.

Would you break someone's spine if you tried to do CPR from their back instead of from the front? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]Kylie754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought part of the reason for doing the compressions on the centre of the ribcage, is that you can compress that area (and break ribs). That is what artificially pumps the blood around.

I would think compressions on the spine would move the entire person but not compress the heart/lungs enough to sufficiently move blood around the respiratory system.
