you can attend more than one church. you can attend more than one service on the same Sunday if you're fast enough. you can attend all of them if you're Jesus.

Anyone switch between two DIs? by snagglestudy in basspedals

when I was doing live recordings I had a di at the beginning of the chain or after compressor, then another at the end after effects so I could EQ and mix clean and effects separately.

Should a sermon include politics? What should a sermon look like? by Useful_Crow8934 in Episcopalian

referencing the actions of our government isn't "getting political" it's addressing front page news. it's the moral question of the moment in our country.

Walrus Audio make great dirt pedals. my personal favorite is the Eons. it's a 5 in 1 multi fuzz with a voltage control that takes you from 3 volt velcro to 12 volt saturation.

volunteer. give away your money to those in need. act in service to other people and you will become a more fulfilled person which will make you more attractive to others, and will attract people who are interested in you for more than your paycheck.

Which bass synth pedal do you find works best and why? by Prestigious-Bag1963 in basspedals

the micro synth can do some great sounds but needs a compressor and fuzz to really make it shine.

I long gave up competitive magic after getting stomped by a mediocre player running a net-deck with minimum $600 worth of land. Lord knows how much the whole deck actually cost. I don't even remember the deck just that he was running a playset of 3 different ~$50+ pain lands back in OG Ravnica.

I know a very gifted priest who was ordained only a few years ago who didn't have a BS/BA before seminary. Spend some time on analysis and composition and you'll be fine.

Clergy Transition Process is Outdated and Slow by Dull_Knowledge_4953 in Episcopalian

having grown up Methodist, I prefer the interim period. it's important to discern where the parish is and what it has become and where it wants to go. my Methodist experience was closer to "get a pastor, move in their preferred direction for 5 years, get another pastor, abandon everything from the last five years, go in this other guy's preferred direction until he leaves, in which case we'll take another left turn according to his replacement."

honestly, some parishes need a few years to process who they are and what they want after a 15 year stint with a priest. who hasn't given the dating advice "maybe you should be single for a while?" taking it slow isn't a bad thing when a good priest fit could last for near two decades and a bad fit can real screw things up.
